Actually Swedish ducks are unable to fly, they are bred as a meat duck and are too large to fly, so having them fly off isn't something you'll have to worry about :)

Can you make a video of them trying to fly ? You can leave one in the pen and put the other one kinda faraway , and run and see if the duck will fly .

Drew Curry they can get about 3 feet of the ground for about 5 seconds!! They can’t fly because they are fat

Did they ever avoid you when they were younger? I raised mine with chickens but tried to leave an imprint and now i cant get near them.

Cassidy Van Sambeek (yeah hi I'm his younger sibling, I'm not exactly sure if he still uses his KZbin account so I'll answer for him) his ducks always stuck to him like glue, the ducks had slept in his room until we 1. Built them a proper housing area and 2. When they were big enough. He spent quite a lot of time with them and they followed him everywhere, sadly they had passed away a few years ago due to river otters. We never had any chickens or other ducks so there wasn't any other birds for them to be around. I apologize for the delayed response and I hope you have a wonderful day

I'm allowed 15 "fowl" in my town but ducks usually would get me the "noise" bylaw, a catch all these yahoos love to fit to every "complaint. without appeal. these ducks don't seem to be quite the QUACKY types compared to other breeds that NEVER SHUT UP

Both of my blue Swedish have the same sark head, are both of yours females? I think the drakes have green iridescent head color. I’m new to ducks so learning what I can. Mine still acts little afraid of me, is that normal at 2-3 months old?
