I used to read EuroTuner magazine and build cars in my head. The parts were astronomically priced and I could only imagine owning a BMW. These videos are so good man. It has to feel good to watch these vehicles come together in person because it’s awesome for the viewers. Haha me too! I’m well over $20k into just the drivetrain and I can’t imagine what that would translate to if it was an S54 haha. But I also want an E46 M3 and I don’t see the point in having two of the same drivetrain cars. So here we are 😎

Awesome man! The E34 M50 pan is actually the one most people choose to go with as it offers more clearance, that’s if youre putting it in an E30. I believe it requires a different dipstick?

It's gonna hang off the nose like an Audi. E30 was meant for a 4 banger. If S14 is too expensive I'd do a K24.

@@ChromaticGarage Yes, but also after you have your fun for a year or two you might end up agreeing about adverse effects on handling, and S52 engine will hold its value to easily fund future endevours.

@@idokwatcher2062 you do know the E30 had a six cylinder engine in it originally, the S52 isn’t that much bigger or heavier and has considerably more power (a lot more than an S14 and a K24)

@@chrisgreen1094 Yes but search google images for 325i engine bay and look where engine sits in relation to the strut towers. Then look at M3 engine bay photo and look where it sits in relation to the strut towers.

From first hand experience yes one can tell when going from 4 to 6, however I got used to the change quickly. There is also seemingly an endless aftermarket support for the E30 still, thankfully, that a builder can fine tune exactly how they want. Sure an S14 is cool but maybe the OP wants some torque and many parts for the S14 are limited to dealers only or straight up gone. Dope engine refresh and love the headers!
