My BMW F30 335i N55 Gets Resonator Delete + New Exhaust Tips! | Official Exhaust Set-Up! (For Now)

In this video, I show my 2014 BMW 335i get a resonator delete and new exhaust tips! The official exhaust set-up for the car is a high flow catted downpipe and a resonator delete (w/ BM3 Stage 2 91 Octane Flash). I think it sounds great for my taste so I am planning to keep it like this for awhile. It is not the loudest it could be but it is loud enough for me!

I feel like for the price and how simple it is to do you can always go baller exhaust or louder later if you want a more aggressive sound.. burbles are nice and the tips look great.. also you’ll notice as your driving it more some great burbles and some pops on decel 😉

Great video! This is the first time I’ve heard someone remove the resonator and I thought it sounded good. Usually I think it’s too raspy. But with the stock muffler it balanced it out. I think it sounded great! AND I HATE THE GUNSHOT POPS TOO! I don’t want to sound like I’m 17.

I went with exhaust cutout on my F30. Y pipe between resonator and muffler. I live in LA county, remotely open and close the valve on the fly.

The exhaust sounds great! I'm also not a fan of those super loud obnoxious exhausts. This sounds tasteful. Also, look into getting some GTS tail lights they make for the F30! I wish they made them for my F32...

I have some sound clips of how it sounded right after I installed the high flow downpipe in this video at 35:10 kzbin.info/www/bejne/maK1pWCbd8qAiq8si=5y8mfh7rStNLjrjb that is how it sounded before I got the resonator delete with only a high flow downpipe, stock resonator, and stock muffler. If youre looking for how it sounded with the stock cat and a resonator delete. I wouldn't have any clips of that setup.

Sounds really nice! Im thinking of trading my 2018 m sport f31 to an 2013-14 335i for the summer. But it is so hard to find one with the "right specs". My f31 is almost fully equeipt... Does your car change the noise between comfort,sport etc or is it valves? Sounds really different between them

I love the sound man! i own a F30 B58 myself and I just got a dual resonator delete but I wanted to change the tips I wanted to ask where did you get them because I want to change my OEM ones ?

I got these tips from the shop that did the exhaust work. I would think most exhaust shops would have some tips like these? However I'm sure you could find ones similar online as they are just simple 4 inch dual walled tips.

The reason why it’s not loud on the start up with the tune is because the start up roar could be off

And I believe the higher RPMs are a way to warm up the cats so they reach working temperature.. with catless downpipes this is not necescary. Thats why in tunes it could be an option to turn off. Since you have highflow cats, maybe you want it turned on

Well I am sold on the resonator delete along with my DP install for my F30. That is all I want - don't need pops and insanity just nice burgagurgarumble low key like. :D Think we have twin cars, Alpine White - hides paint issues! :D

If you tune the car with Bootmod3, you adjust burble settings to be really low or really aggressive also

@@InlineSixAuto I think I am going to make the change there as well - running a JB4 that also worked on my N55 535 (getting ready to sell the 535 for an M2 for fun while the F30 is my DD). Since the JB4 was 'free' (already had it and worked well on my F10) I just carried my JB4 over. However the BM3 does have more control/options. I wish JB4 had kept up with the times better imho.

@@JayyEVee Yeah definitely would agree with you there about JB4. Never tried it but from what I read its not as good as BM3 or MHD programs. Though it does have the same power potential as them from what I've seen.

Looking to do the same resonator delete too but Im not catless so I’ll report back whenever I get it done regarding sound comparison. For the exhaust tips, did you have to cut the muffler tips back or not? Also could you please post a link to where you got the tips from?

Definitely report back! And for the exhaust tips, I just cut them off at the point where the outer casing of r the stock tip ends. And I don’t have a link for the tips because I got them from the shop that I had do all this, they had them in stock at their shop.

I think it was 3.5 inch pipe. It was the same size as the rest of the piping on the stock exhaust system

I was initially going to get that exhaust but then after hearing some sound clips, to me it sounded the same as a muffler delete and or resonator delete with a downpipe. So didn't think it was necessary to spend $1k to achieve the same sound.

You can still pass emissions with a resonator delete since the resonator doesn't affect emissions. Are you asking about the shop that did this resonator delete or a shop that does emissions tests?

@@maxperaza8264 Oh yes its in Escondido, CA. and yes I recommend them. I've taken both my BMWs there multiple times for exhaust work. Never had any issues with them.
