I don't know how it is in America, but my country has the second most dense railroad network in the world and Netherlands level bike lanes. I can reach London, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Zwitserland, Germany even Marseille or pretty close to scotland in less than 5 hours for less than 20 bucks. I can get practically everywhere in my country with the bus for free. Meanwhile, gas is way more expensive and you have to pay a lot of taxes on them + most cars are banned in half of the major cities. You'd be stupid to go somewhere in your city by car (In her defense, NYC is massive). But we go everywhere by bike.

@@PabloGonzalez-qm5yu Belgium, so you're pretty close, I don't know where we currently rank in railroad density, but we used to be n2 for a long time (and even N1 for a short time if you don't count England as a seperate country.). Luxenbourg is also pretty dense though

I disagree with her on the Bus issue, I think Wisconsin Audience got it right. Never forget public transportation is important.

Less control than a car (or being someone who Ubers around) Uber is also a kind of public transport - just one that picks you up where you are, and drops you where you wanted to go.

Don't say bus. Say you'll be arriving in a half-million dollar, chauffeur-driven vehicle. And you'll have your driver drop you off, down the street, so the neighbors won't be talking about you in a negative light.

I live in NY and honestly I wouldn't take the bus to a woman's house either. Or the train really. Public transportation in NYC is not dirty as hell. I was in London recently and I took their public transportation everywhere. At the same time if you like me me taking the bus is not a deal breaker. That's what I have to work with. She's fancy...
