I love your tattoos! The “I am the somebody” tat is probably my favorite you showed. I also agree that I’d rather work somewhere where they judge me for my performance, not my appearance. As for my own, on my right shoulder blade I have the quote, “I read like the ink from the book is oxygen and I’m gasping for breath.” It was my first tattoo, and it has special meaning for me, but I do wish I had gotten it placed elsewhere because I’ve always wanted wing tattoos but don’t want to get it covered lol Non-bookish tattoos I have are one my forearms (I have four tats total, three on both arms): right wrist area is a Mickey Mouse outline with swirls inside based off of an ornament I thought was lovely, and got because I love Disney. On my left forearm I have two tattoos that I got at the same time this year, which are my sun constellation, Leo, and above that the symbols for the four elements with a circle for spirit in the middle, and lines coming from the circle representing the connection between everything. I can’t wait to get more tattoos, but your girl is broke af right now lol but I definitely want at least one wing, Tigger (for my mom), and a few more someday!

I want to get the Angelic Rune tattooed an inch or so from my wrist because it just reminds me about one of my favorite books and also reminds me that we're all little pieces of heaven. I want to get “Kindred Spirits” tattooed on my wrist in my Grandma’s handwriting, because Anne of Green Gables was always an important book between us, and I actually read it to her while she was in the hospital before she passed. I don't have any tattoos, as I am terrified of needles (I pass out when I see them) and care entirely too much what other people think of me, but if I were to get one it would definitely be book related!!! I have never read the Daisy Jones book, but now I want to, because I love that quote! If I were to get a quote tattoo, one that I absolutely love is "I'm nobody's angel, Love" [full quote "I'm nobody's hero, baby, try not to fall too deep. I'm nobody's angel, love, but you were crying in your sleep. I'm useless, empty, nothing, sugar. Wait around, and then you'll see. You thought you'd find your answer, but now you're lost in me."] or "I'd do it all for this." Both from the Here and Now series by Lexi Ryan, a guilty pleasure read for me, in which I relate all too heavily with the main character's struggle. And the two quotes show the other main character's journey from hating himself and thinking himself worthless, to accepting everything that happened to him because it gave him the life that he loves. ❤ Sorry, that was a bit long, but I couldn't help it!

I also forget how stigmatized tattoos can be in some countries. Luckily in Norway it's very socially acceptable. As long as the tattoos aren't showing something like sex or violence, then it won't be a problem in the work place or anywhere else. Like you said, having tattoos doesn't determine if you're good at your job or not :D

First of all, I have that geometric alphabet tattoo. I totally agree it feels like you're carrying stories around with you. Secondly, I have a bookish tattoo that I designed with my favorite tattoo artist. It is three books on top of two apples one of the apples is red one of them is green and the green one is getting squished by the books. The green one also has a wormhole. On top of the books is a bookworm. The whole piece is surrounded by this style of tattoo called glittering. They look like tiny little pieces of glitter.

Thank you, I've now found the Harry Potter tattoo that I want. I've wanted to get a hp tatt for very long since I grew up with that series (like most millenials lol) and I wanted something minimalist, but I never saw something that really spoke to me, until this one. A friend has a super cool hp tatt, it's different spells all on her forearm and each spell is in a different font and thickness. The other book tattoo I'm gonna get is the crow drinking from a wine cup from Six of Crows, and I want that one on my ribs, just gotta save up for it. I'd also really love an Eragon tattoo since that series meant so much to me growing up. Another tattoo I know I'll get is the flamel from Fullmetal Alchemist in watercolour effect, I just have to figure out where I want it. Hopefully I'll be able to get the hp tatt and the SoC or the flamel next summer so I can combine it with a piercing. As a blood donor I'm banned for 6 months after tattoo/piercing so I have to think tactically 😂

The issues is that I got both my current ones spontaneously on holiday, and I hateee the idea of having to like ring up a tattoo place and book an appointment etc etc for my third lmao. Far too much social interaction with strangers for me haha
