Well! After thinking it during days, This week I decided to try the build and oh boy Its on the top 10 worst decissions I have made this year! Now I feel and also confirmed, Im a lot more squishy, literally anyone that focuses me can burst me down in seconds, even having 1.1k Ranged and Magic endurance. Xbox/Daggers? You last literally 3 seconds Anything with a GS? You just need a combo, they cut through your shields like nothing. Anything with a staff? If they know what they are doing they melt you with one rotation. In 3v3 Arena you are going to be Lucky if you last more than 10 seconds attacking, in the moment they focus you your are done. In dominion I have stopped doing this event as its a complete waste of time for the same reason, its funny when you are able to land a coyote of Javelin Infernos, but good luck lasting so long to cast at least 3 or build up the ember stacks… I did yesterday a Boonstone, Healer was not able to keep me up more than 5 seconds when I was focused, if you are not being focused then you can deal a bit of damage, drop a couple of flash waves, javelin infernos and then die. It doesnt matter if you use both shields, it doesnt matter if you use your stuns, your binds, if you try to be on the backline, whatever, if someone jumps at you and has hands, you are gone. I did also a retarded mistake of fully rerolling and at this point im even considering quitting the game as this is just not fun and cant go back, well I lie, farming open world dungeons is a breeze and funny, this I can tell you. Aghhhhh Fuck Me

I really do feel sorry for you having this experience. I just have to say something in case some random person Scrolls thru this and dismiss the build because of your experience. I also made the switch to bow/spear and while spear in general needed buffs i new they were going to come, which they do today. Unyielding Sentinel gets a new skill specialization which trades the heavy for hit. What it means in practice for my build is 9 seconds of 410 all cc resistances, 410 hit chance across the board and a 4k shield with 8 seconds of downtime before i can pop it again. That shit is fucking crazy to be honest. Regarding what you said about Arena, I cant argue. Not counting the patch that is today it's pretty garbage in arena tbf. When it comes to ZvZ (Siege), open world conflicts and stone fights I strongly disagree. I have done it all and If i would compare it to Bow/staff which is the only thing one really should compare it with it does less dps outside of perfect scenarios but other than that It really does rival it. Playing bow/evasion or bow/endurance the situations has played out differently. With evasion i either Dodge something big and can get out of the stun and survive, if i dont Dodge something big tho I get deleted from bind->ascending slash->Guillotine (if they are as geared as i am), with endurance i can eat the Guillotine every time and get out of stun and then that scenario is over and outside factors plays in like friendly healers/skill. I dont get deleted by everything in the game instantly either, Xbows gets hard countered by Tempest Strike Sure if any super geared person can get you in a 1v1 and jumps you first you're most likely gonna die, as for everyone evasion/endurance. I really hope that the buffs to spear makes it better for you and that the game aint over because of the switch, sounds awful

@ Thanks for the comment mate, I do really appreciate making the time to answer, I wonder what Endurance you are running or if I can have a look at your build… Im right now at around 1k ranged and magic endurance unbuffed, but I lack melee endurance, and I have asumed that anything melee was going to melt me, but did not expect to get melted by everything else hahahaha :P Maybe I should trade some other Endurance values for Melee endurance. I am running magic and ranged endurance, this game is truly rock paper... Some things are just gonna crush you I am at work so I have no opportunity to share anything right now, would you mind linking your build, then i can take a look at it. It seems fishy that you would get that crushed with 1k unbuffed tbh What's your skill damage res and hp for example?

@@Jimmorz I see your perspective, I would also like to highlight that I AM max level runes which allows me to focus my synergies, rune priorities towards skill damage resistance and critical damage reduction. I think if you set your build up with only endurance in mind it's not enough, you need multiple sources of defensive traits to help you survive as much as I do. I also do have some melee heavy attack evasion that reduces GS players' chances of heavy attacking me which significantly improves survivability depending on how MUCH you can stack.

Let me rephrase it, if you wouldn't have Tevent bow, which version would you go? I made the switch last night and goddamn is it better than I initially thought it would be... In perfect scenarios my Flashwave actually topped the damage i previously got with dagger/bow. I'm a bit bored from playing Bow/Dagger, but of course I don't have Tevent, I'm not really sure if its worth to re-craft all gear to go for endurance instead of evasion to go for this build if I'm going to play with Karnix anyway and still miss a lot of the range that you are showcasing, what do you think?

If I was bow/dagger I would've died 5 times more than with this build. (Evasion is RNG, so if the enemy has more hit than your evasion your evasion is useless, but Endurance doesn't work like that, endurance is always active regardless if your enemy has more crit than your endurance (they would have to overstack crit for them to even be able to critically hit you efficiently)

Hi Joei, thank you for this really cool video. Currently i run bow dagger for every content. i created the spear for Zerks and PVE - i will use the bow dagger build only for pvp small scale, can i change all my evasion into endurance or do you think its not worth?

The whole point of daggers is the passive that gives you extra evasion when dodging + dagger passive evasion, if you ditch that, you will get basically nothing out of building evasion as evasion only works when you have a lot more evasion than enemy has hit chance, if its not the case and enemy has more hit chance than you have evasion... Then is a dead stat for you, it is better to go for Endurance instead.

The build makes sense but I don't really see a gameplay gain. Is it viable? Does it do anything better than having a staff fulfilling the DPS range role? Does it gain anything more compared to the evasion, critical and stealth of the dagger? I don't think so.

@@joeiteevee3604 And I watched the whole video, the idea is good, it is viable, I simply think that the staff or the dagger give you more tools to fulfill the role of Ranged DPS, since you know well that with the bow tevent in tier 2 you also reach the cap of 30 meters of range and with staff for example you have more variety of range skills and buffs to use and do more damage.

I am stuck between spear/bow and spear/staff. I feel spear/bow is more tanky because of the bow shield passive and sentential but spear/staff has more burst attacks especially in smaller scale or arena.

It would be really tough to hit 50 str without doubling a fair amount of points. Unless you are just wanting to have a build for a PVE where you're stacking Dex, it probably is not great. (Granted i haven't played around with the Questlog at all so i could be entirely wrong, but that's just MY initial take).

PvE yes, PvP it's situational. You will probably die easily with this build if you're not in a team. Where as you could with a slim chance go invisible and run with dagger.
