It's as if Nino was an amalgamation of the worst boyfriends/husbands/lovers that Ferrante ever encountered in her entire life. He never loved anyone but himself. Lenu should have known when she saw him with the teacher's daughter before any of these events even took place. That spoke volumes about the kind of person he always was even as a young boy.

Yes, and what's sad is that she saw even more, she saw his son with silvia that he completly forgot or didn't even know he existed, just like lila's son who was allegedly his son, and she understood very well the kind of man he was..., and yet, it's like she was more interested to get what her younger self wanted, than to look for a healthy relationship

He had the same kind of personnality issues than her, too shy, too serious, but she was so obessessed with Nino that she couldn't even see that, and never tried to understand him... Yes between Lila and Enzo à beautiful romance is lying ahead, can't wait to see it 😍😍

Nothing's ever his fault is it? As far as he's concerned. And you think he'll respect your intelligence and will help you learn about the bigger world that you want to learn about, and he's willing to let you think that when you want to talk to him about literature or politics. But as soon as you show any sign of being better than him or more intelligent than him, then all of a sudden he turns into a small child - rude, sullen, sulky, self-obsessed, insolent, petty.

Nino is privileged arrogant and nothing could excuse his behavior towards lila and leno, but lila is different she was struggling and fighting all the time, her relationship with nino was the first time we see her happy and she sacrificed alot for this relationship but nino didn’t admit that and he simply left and didn’t fight back to come back to her. I don’t blame lila for her behavior at all, it’s a sign of strength at a world that took everything away from her.

Lenu feels often not that important as lila. But what lenu does uderstand until now is that: your arent always happier wen you give in on every unpulse that you have like lila does. Wen you give in to every impulse you will havent much to dream about anymore in life. End you wil discover soon that alot of dream that you have are empty like the love of nino how left lila after all. You will lose your confedense not all the dreams that you have, you need to live treu. Some dreams mend to be dreams and stay dream. Wen you can control you impulses you will have more dreams left a positief thinking. And lose no people arround you. A person needs to have dreams for positive thoughts about the future. I think that lila will and up more unhappy and al ready is than lenu.

I assume they are talking about the person assumed to be Elena Ferrante, the author of the books (her identity is not confirmed), Anita Raja, and her husband, Domenico Starnone. Some people think they wrote the books together, especially since Domenico is from Naples. He might be a model for Nino, but if he is it’s not a very flattering one!
