I just passed out in my bathroom and broke my hip. Sorry for your pain because the pain I felt was insane. A month later and I’m doing better. Still have a few months of physical therapy to get back to normal

Sorry this happened. I broke my hip from a fall in my bathroom. I felt a little dizzy then passed out. Hit the floor hard and bounce up and hit my head again. Felt something and experienced the worst pain of my life. Broke my hip and 4 weeks after surgery I feel a lot better

Hi Lauren- I know you posted this over a year ago but just wanted to say thank you. I was recently diagnosed with a femoral neck stress fracture- thankfully no surgery now, but non-weight bearing for 6-8 weeks. Hoping you are back to running!

how long did it take to recover, could you give some tips to heal faster. i too have been diagnosed, doctor said to bed rest.. what posture you were in mostly.. sitting or sleeping?

Lauren, I’m so sorry this happened. Thank you for making this, as there really isn’t a lot out of there talking about this injury. I’m dealing with a weird pain and I’m terrified it’s a femoral neck stress fracture. It’s such a strange pain. PT said there was nothing wrong with me. I went to a Sports Med doctor and my physical examinations were negative and my x ray was negative (lol). I’ve had the pain ever since I ran 10miles for the first time 2 weeks ago My first half marathon is tomorrow and I think I should bow out. What were your symptoms? It hurts to move my leg away from my body and twisting my leg inward and being on my feet for a while causes aches. The pain isn’t surface level, it feels deep

J-Rob, sorry I'm just now seeing this!! How are you doing? Were you able to run your race?! My biggest symptom at first was feeling like I couldn't lift my thigh, specifically from being in a seated position. As things progressed and got worse, I lost ability to bear weight and developed excruciating muscle spasms. I really hope you've gotten answers and are doing better by now. 🙏
