My casual magic today was while I was biking back from work, suddenly about 20-30 little birds flew up in the air on either side of me. I couldn't see them until they were flying around me and it really felt like I was the main character from a musical for a second. I was drenched because of the rain but that was a lovely, magical moment!

Love how you described hustling as a "phase", that makes so much more sense than just saying that it's plainly bad or wrong. I'd never recommend anyone to burn themselves out, but working hard for a while lets you learn the skills/reach your goals/build the foundations, to then be able to take it easier and still be very productive. A phase can't last forever, of course! XP By the way, you can tell that Jade is so proud of him!! ❤❤❤ and the way Folkert describes Jade always asking the right questions and never judging... that's how I describe my therapist! XD ❤ Wish I had the same relationship with my brother, thanks for showing us your pure friendship. Goal for 2024: taking care of my worsening mental and physical health, to be able to also go and chase my dreams!

Thank you so much!!! 🦋 yes I'd love to see a healthier narrative around periods of discipline and hard work where it's not overly celebrated, but also not shunned. I've learned SO much from obsessively reading self-help books, pushing myself to wake up super early and work towards my dreams, but I've also learned equally as much from periods of rest! Good luck with your goal, this is so important 💌

I have so many thoughts on this video and I'm gonna share them all starting with 1. Both of you have the same eyes. The. Same. Blue. Eyes. Its beautiful. Also its so cute you brought your brother as a guest in your podcast(yes this is already a podcast now and I'm a religious follower). 2. Some timestamps I loved so much. 1. 18:30 2. 19:30 loved this whole part specially 19:50 to 20:20 this part was like average eldest daughter elder sister experience. 3. 21:56 4. 24:33 5. 25:25 (folk secretly loves the nicknames you give him hehe). I also want so share my own story with you. So my brother's name was Shishir but it was difficult for me to pronounce that when I was young. So I started calling him Shishu and then everyone started calling him Shishu and that was when my great tradition of giving him new name was born. Everyone still calls him Shishu. He is 20 now. I was 2 when I gave him the nickname. I am not sorry at all. 3. If anyone's wondering how an elder sister younger brother relationship looks like? This is it. Speaking from experience this is exactly what it looks like. I have genuinely enjoyed this and related to this video so much. From asking deep talks about random topics to asking questions with hidden meaning that you carefully ask to make your sibling realize things while managing a relationship to giving them new nicknames every week this video was an experience I loved so much. 4. Sometimes when me and my brother chat we throw around the idea of doing a podcast of us just being us and joking and talking about things we're passionate about. This thing was in my head the whole time I was watching this video. P.S. I'm sorry for such a large essay on your video. It was really fun to watch.

lol i have so many nuanced thoughts for this Q. a few thoughts: - the toothpicks and packaging are 100% biodegradable and aim to combat the chewing gum market (where plastic is one of the main ingredients and generates massive waste), so this product is actually a more sustainable option. - creating your own product and business is akin to actualising any creative endeavour (e.g a book, a play, a piece of artwork). I've watched Folk FLOURISH in confidence and self-belief from constantly creating with this project!! shouldn't we all be encouraged to actualise ideas we love? - we live under the very flawed system of capitalism lol and though it's essential to critique it and dare to dream of other systems, there is nothing inherently wrong with people solving a need (even if that 'need' is the desire to 'belong' or 'look cool') and other people exchanging value (money) in exchange for that need being met. ofc, it's not solving world hunger (yet....?), but businesses also have so much power in shaping culture; which i hope folk and the team will choose to do for the better. dw i am the first to critique consumerism 😚🦋 lots of love!!!

Okie, I have a question. I hope this doesnt come off as judgemental or mean because its genuinely something that I wonder, something that I cannot reconcile in my soul. From what I understand you Jade are a nature lover, and I would guess maybe your brother too has an appreciation for our planet. How do you reconcile that with javing a company that produces an unnecessary novelty product. The toothpicks are cool, but they are completely unnecessary, and their production is just adding to the billions and billions of things that get produced from the planets resources every year that we dont need. Even if its sustainably sourced those forests, those famlands those quarries still could have been left untouched if humanity decided that we were okay only producing things we need.
