Great riding in the video. Thanks for not covering it in music so we can hear what it sounds like. I've ridden one for a day at FOD and my reaction was much the same as yours and your friends. I'm going to assume you were sent the bike free from Amflow otherwise you would have invisd it :-) May as well let everyone know where you got it from - just gives viewers more clarity. Will Greenfield was honest in his first video about the bike and said he got it for free. He's pointed out good and bad things about it so don't see how it can harm you. Look forward to more videos.

Impressive tech if that's what you look for in a bike, it won't make you faster going down the trail, in order for this motor to gain proper traction is for more brands to adopt it as an option and with that Dji / Avinox need to back that up with service centres otherwise they will have the same issue as Canyon whereby due to technical compatibility their customers were left with a bike they can't use due to battery issues.

I saw one of these yesterday on the trails. The second time i saw it the had crashed into a tree and snapped it in half with the bike, he was sat in the mud laughing and just got up andcarried on riding. It only snapped the chain. Hime and his matesjoined us for some riding. That bike is quick!

This bike was under serious consideration when buying an Emtb in late December, just couldn't go for it. When putting down this kind of money, I'd like to also like the look of the bike and this one ain't it in that department. I'm also fairly big tall at 6'5" and somewhat weighty with that, so went for something a bit burlier and higher rated.

Hy Lewis, I'm Luís, from Portugal. Can't say I'm in the market for an ebike, right now at least, because I've just finished a 25,5K€ investment on my 4 bike dream garage and I'm simply living the dream of riding each one of them to the fullest every time I leave home with one. But...I'm 46, a doctor, who can't train every time I want because my career kicks the living crap out of me every single day. So I know the fifth bike, an ebike, will have to become a reality probably sooner than I would like and..I was blown away by your test of this Amflow. It's a beautifull bike, even thow I'm not a black colour everything kind of guy but, there are probably more colours to chose from and maybe, just maybe, someday I'll see you test one of this with Rockshox suspension. I'ma Rockshox guy through and through. Why on earth is every ebike on the planet with Fox suspension, when it leaves the manufacturer as stock?...I'd love to see this bike with a super deluxe ultimate shock and a 3.1 charger Lyrick 160mm up front. But...I like my Magura brakes very much! Lol! Half my bikes use Sram brakes, the other half the top shelf Magura Brakes, and I'm very pleased with both brands. By the way, It's the first time I've written to you but, I've followed your career closely for a long number of years and it's with great relief that I see you looking so well and in one piece! Hy Justin. Trek has a tendency to be colossaly expensive...And I can't buy Trek in my city, unfortunatelly. Because the representatives of that brand here are two of the worst individuals you could ever meet within MTB...I will never, ever spend a dime with those idiots again. Tbh and it’s only my opinion but for me the fact that it’s got serious watts and power etc is cool but I don’t think that’s the most important part of how an e-bike rides , I’ve got the Orbea Rise 2023 540w battery and I think it’s 60 NM of Torque and it’s more than enough for 99% of trails . On the DH part it’s pretty good for a 160mm travel bike

They often rub, a lot of them have many plastic parts, the levers can feel a bit too chunky under the finger, they are fiddly to bleed.

Nearly bought one. I went for the gen 5 Bosch in an Enduro build instead. I have seen a few about on the trails. The reason I didn't go for it is it's quite flimsy . It's a trail bike. How much power do you need? How much quicker do you need to get to 15mph?. Also more power could also mean less grip. Plus less range.. there is a sweet spot and this isn't it for me..These negatives are what swung it for me. Impressive tech but most of which is not needed when you think about it. I'm pretty sure you won't get the likes of Bosch and Shimano trying to match the power.

I would say its not just about the speed. The control and software in general blows everything else put the water too! Who knows yet, but if the reliability and ease to service os good, then all the other company really need to worry. Also, depending if your Gen 5 has a console module, you definitely only ever going 15mph on it.

@digital.olimon 15mph is fine for me uphill. I used to have a levo in 2016 which was unrestricted. More power less range so then I went for the levo SL less power more range. I suppose I'm the wrong target audience for the amflow. I do think it's hype as it's not the 1st ebike with +100NM motors and they didn't lead the market. I'm guessing most people will be swapping the brakes, stem and forks. The Amflow frame reminds me of the levo SL . I could feel the flex . I guess most things are a compromise weight etc.. I think it is a good bike as it is for a lighter trail centre rider.

​@@simonella2833 I would probably swap the stem for something like a Burtech.. probably keep the rest, unless the brakes are annoying like most people find with them. Looked at so many emtbs. There are compromises with them all and some just out right deal breakers! I really like the Orbea Wild, but not convinced. Yt Decoy looks sweet also, but the fuzua Ride 60 seems unreliable. I can't remember which but one had headset routing as well. The whyte Elyte Stag Works looks nice but not convinced again. Wpuld splash all the way out on a Nicolai MGU but they weigh so much!! I keep coming back to the Amflow as love the software and trust DJI when it comes to things like that and battery. I'm weigh nothing lol, so the flex of the Amflow doesn't discrouge me. Only thing I probably dislike is lack of colour choice 😂

Everything is good (especially as the first iteration) and jolly especially the motor and the accompanying tech, but it runs the yoke shock design which will wear your stanchion and create incompatibility issues with many shocks - even snapped shafts. Weird design choice since its already been proven before on other bikes like the Stumpy, Enduro, Commencal, Intense etc that its really flimsy.

I picked up the base version in early November. Swapped out the Magura's for ultimate code stealth, one up carbon bars with hope gravity stem. Wheels swapped to Zipp 3zero moto carbon and schwalbe tyres. Xx AXS T type transmission and axs reverb 170 post. Swapped out the cranks for Forx and Hope pedals. Wrapped in invis when stripped down. I had all the parts already, hence my reasoning for the base model. Fitted the grip 2 damper also. The bike is awesome, absolutely love it. My friends all want one as they are sick of me being the first to the top of every climb ha. It opens up parts of the trail that to date haven't been possible. Incredibly impressive machine, the motor power is addictive but incredibly controlled too. Great review pal 👍😊👌

mate I dont really value a word you say about bikes after hearing "oh the yetis are surprisingly good after I had for years thought they are bad because my pals talked down the switch infinity link". Seriously riding fast doesnt necessarily translate to knowing anything about the product
