The scaling is off for Mir in the animations - it was slightly larger than depicted here. This is a common error and I’m not sure where it originated (another ‘internet mystery’ perhaps). But i didn’t have time to correct it in the original video, hence me not originally using these animations in the main body of the video. Mir, Buran and some other late Soviet space tech will be appearing again in another of my videos in 2025.

Finding out that the Most Mysterious Song was discovered via a Alexander video is quite possibly the best way I could have ever imagined. Crazy that both it and Celebrity 6 were found so close together.

I just hit 1,000 subscribers and will be making a mini doc on that story.

Making it in the music business is so hit and miss. A couple of my mates were in a band in the 90's and they were just so good. Usually I'm really harsh on my mates bands, usually because they are shite, but these guys had it all. They had great songs, the singer was amazing, both guitarists were really good, I can't remember who played drums and bass, as I didn't know them. Anyway, they got signed to management, and the manager arranged for them to go away for 4 weeks supporting some bind that was having a very minor hit at the time. The lad who was the singer, had pretty poor mental health, and he couldn't handle the pressure of going away from hi GF for 4 weeks and had a breakdown the night before they were due to leave, so that was that. But this made me realise that there must be 10 of 1000's of great bands making music that just never get exposure, so we never know about them.

1:53 Hate to say it, it makes my eye roll whenever I see the Buran next to MIR being over the scale, 3D animation wise. Coz, I don't think the Buran's actual size was like that. Lol. It was meant to match the size of most modules that would be assembled for MIR, originally. That oversized Buran model next to MIR got me thinking about the Tupolev OOS Air-launched Monster Shuttle, that is to be airlifted and airlaunched by the twin-fuselage AN-225 design concept (which is horrifically cursed in the aeronautical design perspective to the casual eye), the OOS is twice the size compared to Buran. Look it up btw. Still, props to Artem Tatarchenko for the 3D animation so far.👍
@Alexander-the-ok2 ай бұрын
I never really figured out why the Mir model we used for those animations looks so small (its the reason i left the animations until near the end of the original video- they look cool but i didnt have time to correct them). MIR certainly looks larger than depicted here on the shuttle-MIR photos.
@Artem.Kak.Art.2 ай бұрын
Hello! Yes, apparently I made a mistake and Mir is 30% smaller. I apologise for that. I used the wrong scaling method. If I do any other animations with Mir, I’ll use the right scale. Thank you for mentioning it!
