Very lovely video!!! I wish I had the luxury of having that much space! I have to set up my paint space on the dining room table, after which I have to take it all down and put it away! So many times I don't feel inspired to paint!😢😢😢

Thank you. What you just described was me almost 10 years ago 😅 I was painting and recording my first videos in a small kitchen den. It was like a dining space, but I had to wrap it all up after I finished painting. Then, I managed to fit a painting table in a corner. It was so tight! After a few years, we moved to a different city, and my husband sacrificed our master bedroom for my studio. So the studio you see - that should have been our master bedroom 😄🌹

@mariamorjane My wife said that she wants to turn one of our bedrooms into a sewing room! And that she will allow me to put a desk and work area so that I can paint! She said this last night! So now I will feel better about painting!!!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

I lost a ton of Arches large sheets 140 and 300 pounds in Hurricane Helene Sept 27. It flooded 28 inches so I was able to save my paintings on the wall and oil and watercolor paint tubes even though they flooded in my IKEA cart. Lost my soft pastels and some canvases. All my brushes flooded but I washed the sea water out of them. Lost my wooden pouchard box.

Maria I cannot believe my eyes, your daughter is grown so much! It seems like yesterday you were pregnant with her and painting things to hang in the nursery. I have been watching you since your beginning and joined Patrion shortly after you started it, left awhile then came back as soon as I was able. I used to love watching you paint your ocean scenes to music. The whales were always my favorite ❤️ I love the new furniture. Your studio is so bright and airy! It motivates me to declutter mine. I have several cubby shelves that are packed. Maybe I should store more supplies in a closet and only keep the essentials out.

Thank you so much 🥰 Sorry for the confusion, I'm using Arches again. It's the Hahnemuhle's Collection, Cold Pressed 140lb, that I stopped using as much because they changed this paper, and the new version feels and looks a lot like a hot pressed.

Hi! Love your studio! I had a question what paper do you recommend,I use mainly colored pencils and some watercolor, I see that you use arches,I have arches hot press,but haven’t used it yet,I also saw hahmulee paper,thank you in advance. I forgot to mention,I do a lot of layering and blending,needed a paper that can handle all that.

Hi Julia, for layering and blending, you definitely need 100% cotton watercolor paper. I recommend Arches as Hahnemuhle completely changed my favorite watercolor paper: Hahnemuhle's The Collection, Cold Pressed. However, if you prefer a cold pressed that feels like hot pressed, then that may be a good fit for you 🥰
