A very illuminating video. With that Celes light, you could say that your lighting game has PEAKed. Cheers

Haha yes, it certainly has! Thank you for watching!

Hey, yeah definitely a great lantern overall! Thanks for watching, Jonathan!

Thank you for sharing. I see you have had a lot of tents. What is your favorite/most used?
@rtmadani2 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching! We have tried quite a few out now, but my most used tent is by far the Alpha Breeze. I also really like the Land Breeze Pro. 4 and Land nest Medium, so depending on your style of camping and group size one could be better than the other.

When I see a campsite lit up with a dozen Hozuki lanterns strung up like string lights, all I can think about are $-$-$-$-$-$. 😄 Would you get one of those area lights like a Devos Lightranger or a Goal Zero Skylight?

Lol it’s easy when you’re an outdoor gear influencer paid to shill snowpeak. I lost a lot of respect for that company once I saw their overpriced messtin 😂
@rtmadani2 ай бұрын
Actually, nobody is paying me to promote gear.

I've seen some impressive mini hozuki collections out there as well haha! I've also seen the Goal Zero Skylight in person and personally wouldn't get one myself. It's huge to bring along, though it is effective at lighting an entire area. I like the ambience of smaller lanterns though and feel in the end having multiple lights works better for us.

I would love a mini light from snow peak. $70 is too expensive

They're nice, definitely a little pricey for a smaller lantern like this but battery life and ambience it provides is pretty unique. Keep an eye out for sales this time of year!

Hey I saw that the instruction manual states to not use a charger that exceeds 5V1A. have you had any issues with charging with something that provides a higher voltage/amperage? What have you been charging with btw?

I plug all of my lights into one Anker Wall brick with multiple outlets and all goes well.

Also, what are your thoughts on canvas vs nylon tents as you have extensive experience with both of the top brands, Snow peak and Springbar?
@rtmadani2 ай бұрын
The biggest con with canvas is it is very heavy and takes a while to completely dry. The best part about these tents is there is no rain fly or guy lines, so assembly is very straight forward. Snow Peak tents are still heavy, but way lighter and smaller to bring along and manage when at home for drying. I enjoy both setups, though they are vastly different from each other. However, I tend to gravitate towards my Snow Peak tent and tarp setups most.

Invaluable information. Thank you, much appreciated. Will keep watching as we have similar tastes. Also a family of 3 (wife, 3 year old and myself).

@@noobwardo4710 Happy to help, let me know if you have more questions on anything. We're also a family of three and if could go back in time and start my tent setup over I'd still go with an Alpha Breeze.
@noobwardo47102 ай бұрын
@@rtmadani Oh wow, I didn't know if you would reply again haha. Thanks again for the responses. Enjoy talking to you. I keep going back and forth between canvas and nylon. Part of me wants to do like you and go nylon with the Snow Peak Alpha breeze. Part of me wants to say screw it and get the Springbar Skyliner and never look back.
@rtmadani2 ай бұрын
@@noobwardo4710 The Skyliner is impressive and I'd say for extended trips it would be awesome, especially in colder months. For weekend trips, I think it would be a bit much for us, but there are times where it'd be nice to wait out the weather in a tent that size. I'd say if you go this route, make sure you're okay with the weight and have a good size space to air it out when home. (This of course depends on where you live in terms of weather). For me, in the PNW It would take up half my garage for several days to air out fully. I'm able to hang my Springbar Vagabond and Compact tents on some racks I built in my garage, but the Skyliner would be too heavy. The Alpha Breeze would be easier to manage for sure but definitely less space. I recently started pairing my Alpha Breeze with a Hexa Evo Pro. Tarp and it created a huge covered living space right outside the tent. I think this configuration has been my favorite so far. The Leisure Port by Springbar is also pretty nice for a shelter in addition to tent.
