Hi! My express entry application for PR in Cananda is still in the pool since 2019. I live in Sri Lanka and my husband wants to visit his aunt in Cananda now in 2021. Will it be a problem for him to get visitor visa since his name is stored in the pool as my spouse. But I am the main applicant and he is only there in the application as my partner.

Hey, would you suggest getting married right before (3-4 weeks) even filling a PR application or do it later after having a PR and coming back to home country to marry? My (future) partner doesn’t have that much qualifications or work experience and I want to make it easier for him(coz applying individually wouldn’t take him anywhere based on the cutoffs). Also, is the cutoff same for a couple as of a single person(eg. 475) or does it doubles because two people are applying together (eg. 2*475)?

Did you check your CRS with spousal applicant? You can be the primary applicant and him being the secondary-applicant. If you do that you can try to gain points for his ECA (educational credential assessment) and if he gives a language test, you can gain points there but that’s totally to your discretion whether you want to include those or not. And the cutoff doesn’t double, it remains the same. Finally, if you feel your marriage can wait, then get your PR first but you’ll have to go back, get married and then start the sponsorship process

But would you say that Sponsor spousal visa is more hectic than applying together(accompanying)? Just saying this coz I watched so many videos which says that fraudulent marriages are common in Canada and when sponsoring a spouse, you need to go through a lot to prove your marriage is legitimate, your relationship is real and blah blah. Tbh, it’s a bit less considering the fact there are no FSW draws that have taken place in 2021. Try checking the PNP route too. Have you checked our spousal video? Sherry came on an individual PR but her status changed in between and as a result she had to share marriage proofs. Inform CIC as soon as you get married through webform. I believe there will be a placeholder where you can attach all the below docs (make one pdf). We showed our marriage card, certificate, venue bill, and our marriage photo as a proof. Once they reach out to you, they will send a checklist, just follow that and you should be good.

The option I see here is that if you are planning to come to Canada to study, eye for a PG diploma for 1 year which gives you an year of work permit as well as points for 1 year Canadian education and 1 year Canadian work experience. Hopefully that should shoot up your score.

If WES evaluated your Mba as diploma then how come your crs was 469? It should have been somewhere 462. Pls explain

That’s right it came down after it got evaluated by WES to PG diploma. In Sid’s case, his masters was evaluated equivalent to Canadian masters but now things have changed. Luckily the cutoff during my time was somewhere around 450s and I got the ITA

Lucky on you to create profile on 3rd of April. My score is 465 after 8.5,7,7,7 & my NOC is 1111 should I create my profile? Or you think my score is less? As the number of applicants in that range & above 471 are more than 9K. Kindly help me out.

Who is stoping you to create a profile.. Profile is even more important than anything.. You can't predict scores..

If u hv 465 score.. Your chances for PR are quite bright.. Go for it.. Don't delay man.. Student Visa cost u both time and money.. direct pr offers u lot of perks.. Its personal opinion

@@harrymansa7104 Agreed, even I thought of creating profile but the number of applicants in score range above 461-480 are almost 20K & IRCC are unpredictable they might keep scores high or low.

@@utkarshvyas4073 believe in luck man.. Go for it.. Improve ielts if possible.. Kya pta kuch b ho skda immigration is always a gamble
