I so relate to the journey of getting a diagnosis. I had a CT of the abdomen with expectations of finding something in the upper abdomen. A good size mass was found in my lower abdomen partially wrapping around my small intestines and I had a fistula, opening, between the small intestines and my bladder. It took 9 weeks before the surgery. That seemed to last forever. Although I had Non-Hodgkins lymphoma some of our treatments were the same. One of the five chemo meds I was on consistently would drop my blood pressure even with preventative treatment and ended up having to be infused very slowly. I am currently 6 weeks post last treatment. Thanks for sharing your journey

Hopefully this finds you well. You give me hope for my grandson who was diagnosed on his 24th birthday in June with stage III Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Being a type 1 diabetic complicates his treatments. Testing positive for Covid postponed his start of chemo 20 days followed by an infection that postponed chemo an additional week. An allergic reaction to 1 of the 4 chemos has resulted in his getting 3 out of 4 chemos. Had PT scan today to see where he goes from here. His golden locks have disappeared. Making it worse is the fact his twin brother's hair looks great. Watching him struggle with daily life is torture. All we can do right now is take it one day at a time. It is comforting to know that someone has made to the end of treatment. God bless you.

When i learned i have classic hodgkins lymphoma, it was thru a phonecall and they said it was treatable, and thats all Im ever going to believe in. My mass was found in front of my heart and i had water around my right lung and heart. I just had my 1st chemo last week and the 1-year cough i had suffered disappeared and the swollen node melted away from my neck. My symptoms began when I was working as a kinder teacher. I was constantly exposed to viruses and sand and dust. I speculate that during that time, topped with stress, depression, and other unhealthy habits, plus the fact I lacked sleep most of the time, my immune system was overusing itself and fighting all sorts of infections that they mutated into lymphoma. Currently, I am keeping a positive mind, being grateful for God giving me each day to live. When you learn you have cancer, it will really dawn on you that life is indeed short. Enjoy each day, affirm that you will get better, and make efforts to really take care, not just the body, but importantly, the mind.

Thankyou ❤ . You don’t know how nice it’s been listening to this today . Today being January 2023 . My daughter has the very same thing , confirmed today. She starts her treatment in 2/3 weeks , hers also started with a cough that would not go , with quite a bit of phlegm. A trip to the dr’s was exactly as you said. She has been told it’s early stages , by the way she also has epilepsy. She is fit , does not smoke or drink that much, but dr’s said that’s nothing to do with it. She has it in same place as you do . And was told after 3/6 months of chemo , she may need radiation. BUT….. the lymphoma is so close to her heart ♥️. And the radiation could give her breast cancer in the future . 😣😭. She is a Masseuse and is fit and healthy usually and full of life it’s such a shock I’m absolutely devastated and crying as I’m writing this. I am going to show my daughter your video so that she can see that your hair has grown quite a bit in two years and you’re looking amazing. I think it really helps people who find themselves suffering with this to actually hear from people who are going through the same thing and have come out the other side I wish you well for the future but thank you so much for posting your video from 🇬🇧

I was staged at 2a as well, and I can tell you your daughter is going to be ok. I mean that. She’ll feel crummy during treatment, but everyone is different, and it’s possible she has very mild side effects. I saw an acupuncturist during chemo and I had zero nausea. Please, allow yourself to take a deep breath. She’s gonna be ok. Hodgkins has an amazingly high cure rate! You all can absolutely do this, and thrive. I was scared. But I’m gonna be fine, and so is she!!!

My niece had Hodgkin’s lymphoma she was twenty five when she was diagnosed. She was a nurse, so she thought there was something wrong by having a constant cough. She got checked out at the hosp she worked in they said she was ok, they said her chest was clear. However she still went to the Gp , she had blood tests done, and to cut a long story short she had lymphoma. She went through a five year journey, including a stem cell transplant, she was a real warrior. Sadly she passed away at age thirty .

Hi, I live in South Africa. The sun is always shining here and there is always the risk of developing skin cancer if you have a light skin. I developed a growth on the lower eye lid of my right eye. I do not know if it is cancer or just a benign growth but I went on a high nutrition diet for about two months and the growth have shrunk noticeably. I would like to share the diet with you. The soup Ingredients: - two handfuls of Chopped broccoli, one chopped onion (purple), two bags of green tea, two pinches of mixed herbs, two sticks of cut celery, Two handfuls of frozen and crushed spinach or kale, half a table spoon of crushed garlic, Three shakes of black pepper, seven shakes of turmeric, two tablespoons full of apple cider vinegar (with the mother), one bag of white onion powder soup for flavour, a hand full of cooked red speckled beans and a handful of cooked mince meat. Just add all the ingredients in a pot, add boiling water and switch the stove on high till the water boils. Then lower the heat until the water simmer, Let the soup simmer for an hour. The soup is now ready. I would only drink water in the morning. At 12h00 I would start eating the soup. There will be about two helpings that you can eat in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. I also ate a fruit salad every day in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. (Note: Apparently turmeric reduces the effect of some chemotherapy drugs and thus should not be taken during chemotherapy.) During the rest of the week I would also eat food that contains vitamin D like avocado’s, mushrooms, liver and eggs in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. It seems to be working for me, maybe it will also work for you to help prevent the cancer from returning. I pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ that the cancer will not return. Amen. Does someone still have night sweats after the treatment ends? I mean after the complet treatment, I am asking cause my wife finished and still have issues with, but she did pet scan during the treatment and it was almost clean, and she finished her radio 1 month ago and the sweats and itches still, thanks for helping.
@apinchofhealthy3 жыл бұрын
Bless her and you! My night sweats and itches went away during treatment. I did have some hormonal sweating, as a result of chemo. It basically sends you in to (temporary, in my case) menopause. I would definitely follow up with your oncologist, though. Many hugs and prayers for the best💖🙏

My itching did stop during treatment but I did have night sweats even after treatment stopped. I attributed it to the chemo since it can put you into menopause. I had to take Neulasta injections to keep white count up during chemo. I know sweating is also a side effect of those injections as well. Not sure if your wife had to do the injections. I mentioned it to my oncologist and he didn't seem concerned. I wouldn't worry too much but as mentioned let oncologist know. I wish your wife the very best.

@@acm4273 thanks for answering, she also took these injections, after chemo she had some radio too, night sweats are getting better now, but the itching still hard, she needs to wait 2 months for pet scan yet, but God is in charge, I believe that is all good.

I hope the best for you and your family! You seem like a really good mother caring so much for your son's birthday when you're sick :) Also, "Red Devil" is just an awful name for a chemo drug, in my opinion, but, oh well, if it works it works.

I think the reason why Doctors are not so quick to realize beyond the "Prize" of Payment, is that Lymphoma is 100% Curable..if it is Treated!
@Weekend6583 жыл бұрын
So how they stage a cancer is based on left and right margins to your body and then 3&4 staging is above and below the diaphragm and outside lymph nodes in to organs as the final stage. Your skin looks great, your hair looks healthy, just do your annual scans Lymphoma has over 56 types however the cure rate is very high. Most cancers have a remission period, not an actual ability to cure the cancer. This is due to lymphoma being a blood type cancer that stays within the lymph nodes for most of the time. There are also slow growing lymphomas that doctors do not use or provide treatment for. They prefer to just sit and wait and see what happens. Honestly.

I think the Amazing part is when the Oncologist is allowed to be in Control...not the PCP! Insurance Methodology is what kills, plus those Doctors who haven't a clue beyond the House-Payment!

Hard to know how they meant this comment, but hoping it's a translation error.🤷🏼♀️ If it was meant to wish ill upon me, I truly feel sorry for this person. Mentally/ emotionally healthy people don't wish harm to anybody.

I am surprised when people make false assumptions about strangers on the internet. It’s hard to tell how you actually meant this, but it comes across full of judgement and condemnation...and severely lacking in love, compassion or understanding. 🤦🏼♀️
