I think because product design has more possibilities than car design itself, but I also have chosen transportation design myself and I guess I will see :D

Hi, I'm acutally a student at IUAV in Venice (industrial design), so I may be able to help you. It actually depends on what you are looking for, Turin is a great city to do automotive and car design, but be careful on what you do at the IED, since not all of their programs is considered a Bachelor Degree (Laurea triennale)

Then it should be good as a bachleor degree (to be 100% sure you should ask to them if it's recognized worldwide). IED in Turin should also have really good contacts in the automotive industry, so i wish you to work really hard and show them you worth it, you eventally will end up doing great projects for the industry.
