I'm a very light sleeper and have to use earplugs, and I also live in a flat & have some neighbours who like to blast music on their loudspeakers early in the morning so I hate waking up to loud and energetic music. When Chapter 2 of Deltarune came out, I had to listen to this song just once to understand it would be perfect as my alarm. It's calm enough not to scare me but still can wake me up. It was the best decision I've ever made.

I dm a dnd campaign on discord for some of my boys, and part of a mini session I did involved a player going into a town right as a storm was brewing. because I'm on discord I have a lot more freedom to add ambient sound effects like a thunder and rain track. As he headed into the tavern and away from the thunder outside, I muffled the sounds and played the sheet music boss cover of this song. It was so calming but also somewhat unsettling to hear the muffled thunder outside with the calm, bittersweet piano in the background. I was almost more impressed with myself than anything else. Toby did a great job with this soundtrack

It's 10:00 PM, and you're still studying because you procrastinated for almost an entire week and have to finish all your work before the next day. It's really cold, and the rain is strong but also calming. You decide to listen to some DELTARUNE, since you just finished the game's chapter 2 and really enjoyed it. Finally, you finished your work at 2:00 AM. It was very tough, but after that you get to listen to My Castle Town peacefully as the rain pours. You decide to go to bed and sleep. I don't think you'll be able to get to class in time though.. Whatever, it's not like your teachers would care about you being late anyway. Besides the image's lovely use of rim lighting to really set an atmospheric ambiance to the environment. What I love as much is Ralsei. The straight, hanging robe is perfectly contrasted to Ralsei's puffy fur which is more round and soft. It makes him stand out more. The scarf extending his design as well while his curled together thin robe makes the free waving scarf a good addition.

those are the sounds of an authentic performance. a real piano makes some quiet sound besides the actual notes being played due to the interaction from hand > key > note

Did anyone else notice that if you look behind your castle there is the same animation of a dark fountain but alot thinner and smaller, my guess is that will only grow bigger through the chapters until your very onw world will be a dark world.

That's because there is in fact a very special fountain there. It's already a dark world, but an all-natural one, one seemingly required in order to keep light and dark in balance, and which all darkners are compatible with regardless of their origin.

Heh, best part is Im pretty tough on everyday life, Im as manly as another man, but I cried to this. I cried and it felt good. Adding rain over the music isn't much, but thank you for it, it adds something I can't describe why, but I like it.
