Every single time you have spoken about your negative pregnancy experience you made sure to clarify that you are still grateful for it and that Flynn was worth every second of it. I did not like being pregnant also, and now that I am older I think that motherhood--from conception to the time kids leave the parental home--is excessively idealized. The reality of a biological process that only pertains to women is that many times it is painful, traumatic, scarring, crippling and emotionally overwhelming; nonetheless women sacrifice themselves to the reproductive imperative and keep having children to ensure mankind has a future. If men were doing it, it would be deemed heroic.

Whenever i come into contact with a negative hateful person i remember what my therapist told me, everyone has a need. That need is based in hurt and fear and self doubt. When they say hurtful things to you they are trying to fill a void in themselves. Hateful things always say more about the person saying them then they do about the target.
