hey, I am giving cat this year and according to me you have alooooot of time, like alot and you certainly do not need to join any coaching classes this soon at least. I was also weak in quants but for quants to improve you need to give it enough of time and that is apart from coaching and it will make more sense to start an year ago, rather than starting soo early because your attention is divided enough in college and etc and you wont be able to focus on it entirely which might lead to frustation and that is the case for most of us! rather i will suggest you to do internships and gain proper and practical knoweldge of your current subjects. CAT is not that difficult and this is coming from a non-eng, commerce without maths student. Its time for you to enjoy precious years of college life and maintain a proper CGPA, because that can be deal maker or breaker at some point. hope it helps :) and youtube is just like a treasure for us aspirants because everything is available here, so first explore and then decide to go for coaching.

@@nixrika yrr according to me,go with 8th,9th,10th maths basics to advanced,and read aeon essays and novels, don't go for too serious preparation,just be consistent,study only half an hour a day,but do it consistently, daily give your 1 hour in your preparation

cat is not the only criteria for selection and idk much about non-iim's but if you are looking at iim's there are alot of other factors, some top iim's do give alot of weightage to previous academics but some not soo much, if you build your profile which makes you stand out from the rest, that might land you in a good B-school and you can always search about these criteria.

I’ll suggest you to start taking coaching from your 3rd year. I took online coaching subscription just after the 1st year ended and thought that I’ll prepare for 1.5 years to appear in CAT 2023. Fast forward to a year later and I haven’t even completed 10% of the syllabus. It’s really difficult to prepare for a exam along with college and also an exam that is 1-2 years ahead of you .. Just start your coaching in 3rd year and those 6-7 months would be enough to fetch a decent percentile
