Plus just by seeing her interactions with Claire when she literally just came into her home, she was seeking for pats and attention. Claire's cats are really affectionate towards her, and it shows so much. It would be kind of stupid to wonder if her cats love her, because the answer is such an unanimous YES Claire is a really kind, genuine and selfless person. And it's not bold nor narcissistic of her to expect Nana to demand her attention when she already does it on a regular basis

Not really Pavlov, Pavlov was about coupling an already existing behavior to a new stimulus (salivating at the sound of the bell rather than at the sight of food). What Claire's doing is called operant conditioning, and was studied by Skinner. He found out that rewarding behavior will cause it to happen more often, while punishing behavior will cause it to happen less often. And through operant conditioning you can coach people and animals to perform behavior they've never done before :) But yeah! It's absolutely adorable to watch NaNa ring the bell. When I have a cat of my own (am not allowed in my current house) I wan tto teach it tricks as well :)
