my cat passed away this week

I am so very sorry for the loss of your beloved cat. During my life I've lost 2 young cats this way and was very upset the drivers didn't stop. Rocky sounds like my late cat Bailey who was always off exploring. Take care.

💔we were looking after our son’s cat,Mottle when our neighbour hit her and didn’t even stop to see she was dead. Good to talk about it. Nothing makes up for what happened though. So sorry to hear about Rocky. I found it hard when I was about 15 and lost my lovely little cat Sheba the same way. At over 63 I still never forget her. I feel for you. All the best. Kim x

I remember when you first showed him to us. See Ciara perhaps. Hope your parents aren’t away for too much longer. Snuggle up with the other cats. They probably need you too. Take it easy. Heartbreaking..I grew up with 7 cats..al strays..but do not think cats should be outside cats..because all the traffic now a days..so dangerous for them....your heart breaks so I hope one day when you adopt another baby..keep the doll inside..they get used to it..God Bless..and we are here for you!!

Really feel for you. A sudden loss is always such a shock. One of our cats, Melvin, sadly died of acute kidney failure. Found collapsed by a neighbour who rushed him to the vet but alas they couldn’t save him. The vet thinks he may have drunk anti freeze which can collect and tastes sweet to them. Not due to malicious poisoning, just very bad luck. If you use anti freeze, sloshing water to disperse any spills around your car may help. Hate seeing dog owners let their pets drink from road puddles. Rocky sounds like he was a great character xxx

Filipe darling, I’m so very sorry for your loss of little Rocky. Being a cat person myself, I can understand what you are going through, and I send all of my love and sympathy. It’s never easy to lose a family member, and just let the grief happen. I keep my cats inside the whole time as it’s just not safe here, for many reasons to let them be outdoor cats. We are going to build them a catio off the side of the house so that they still get to experience the wild, but in a safe way. Again, I send you my love and support sweetheart ❤️

I’m so sorry to hear such sad news about Rocky 😢 I have been in the same situation myself a few years ago ,when my beloved cat was hit by a car early morning. The person did stop and took him too the vet,she was devastated too,sadly he passed away,he was 3 years old. More recently a year ago my beloved rescue cat died,of old age. I still miss him every day. All our pets have a place in our heart and we’re richer in soul for knowing them. I wish I could be with you to hug you. You have a big heart and a kind soul that’s why it hurts so much now.Thank you for posting this video it will have helped you to say his name and may help someone else who is grieving xxxx

So sorry Felipe. My beautiful young cat passed away under exactly the same circumstances when I was about your age - it’s 💔 - I thought I’d never be able to have another cat again but roll on 30 years (!!) and my son heard about a homeless cat and he brought him home about 4 years ago. I had him neutered on the vet’s advice and the vet said he also wouldn’t wonder off so far. We love the cat dearly and our dog does too. We’re thinking of you and your family.

I am so sorry to hear of Rocky's tragic passing. The same thing happened to my first and very young cat when I was a teenager. Any pet loss comes with much grief that needs processing. My thoughts listening to your story: Rocky had a very happy life because it was full of adventure which is what he thrived on. Because of your special bond, it was no coincidence that you were meant to be house-sitting for Rocky and his "siblings" to have that time before it was his time to leave this life. (Imagine if this had happened at a time when you were travelling or otherwise away with not having spent any time with him in his final weeks! That would be worse.) My own experience with years of pet loss is that they stay close in spirit (they do have souls like people) and in unexpected moments, you will feel his loving presence. I've experienced this first hand on several occasions in my life, enough to be convinced that (as Einstein said), while the physical body dies, the energy within it is released and takes on a new life force, because energy does not die, according to Einstein's theories. I take great comfort in knowing this first hand and I hope that you will too.
