Hey so a few tips to hopefully avoid this happening again. Change all your passwords connected to your youtube account, make sure not to use any old passwords. It’s likely they gained access to those. Don’t login on public wifi, all they need is to access your keystrokes and they can get all the info they need to hack you. On the off chance they hacked your main PC, run a windows boot time virus scan, then follow up with whatever antivirus service you prefer. And lastly, don’t save your passwords on your Pc, it’s a pain but it’s an extra preventative step you could take. Writing down your password in a notebook or just memorizing it keeps it safer. Anyways, I’m hoping most people didn’t unsubscribe due to the videos being reposted, I almost unsubscribed but that was due to me not recognizing the channel. After I scrolled down and found your older videos I figured you just got hacked. Anyways hope this helps! Been following you for a few years now, you’ve made amazing progress on the game 👍.

I'm glad that you got access to your channel quickly. I also had my channel(1k subs) hacked, similar crypto videos uploaded by the hacker, and they had access to my gmail, and all the autofill completed passwords. I had to struggle for nearly 2 months to get my channel back, KZbin support didn't help me the way I wanted it to, they were super slow and i had less hopes of recovering the channel back while talking with them. All this happened in March, my channel kind of became dead, many of the subscribers left, I felt terrible and it's been an uphill battle since then to get my channel to the glory days. Also, I manually write down my passwords in a physical notebook, enabled f2a in whichever websites that allowed them. It's a pain to do all this, but it has helped me from further attacks and since all the passwords are different and unique, I can feel calm if one of them gets compromised. Sorry about what happened to you. Keep up the good work dude...

Maybe KZbin should lock the security settings behind a second password. One that wouldn't be saved on cookies or autofill

Really sorry this happened to you. I work in Cybersecurity and as you correctly pointed out, I encourage everyone to do the following in order to safeguard their data as much as possible: 1.) ALWAYS enable 2FA/MFA on your accounts as an additional authentication method. 2.) NEVER save your passwords on Google's Password manager. Ensure to disable the autofill features on your browser of choice. 3.) NEVER save your passwords on plain documents like Word or Notepad. Instead use reliable & secure Password Manager Applications, ideally ones that are encrypting the data. 4.) I also strongly encourage you NOT to write your passwords down physically in any papers/books. There is still the risk of someone stealing that document, for example if they break into your house. I recommended secure Password Manager Applications over physical notes.

These scamming hackers are everywhere, just search Tesla live in KZbin and there's multiple different accounts which have been hacked in the same exact way. It was happening to three different accounts I'm subbed to at the same time, including this one.
