Amazing collection as i knew it would be! and amazing way to celebrate what would have been the man's century mark. Favorite Bronson for me as to be "Death Wish 3" the utter insanity of it all is righht at the top. I have SO MANY that I have yet to watch, I cannot in good conscience make a top 5 worthy of the man's work just yet. 😛

Thank you, sir. It's much appreciated. If it's any consolation, I cannot make a top 5 of anything! 😲 Doesn't matter in what conscience I'm doing it, it never works out! 😄 Anyway, hope you're safe and well, my friend. Take care!

Hi Donny, really enjoyed your video, i don't have many of Bronson's films but that is going to change, i have made a wishlist and will be hoping to pickup one or two movies a month. My favourite of his is Mr Majestyk , i have also watched Dan's and 101Bronson's video's also, by the way thats a great background poster you have, thanks mate. Mark.

Hi Donny, That"s a badass Bronson background shot of the many characters that he played from his career !!! I also recently picked up the "Man with a camera" series which i"m currently watching & its better than it actually sounds. "Battle of the bulge" i actually need for the collection, "Twinky" aka ("Lola") a strange movie for Charles Bronson not one i"ll watch often. "The Mechanic" one my favorites, as a fantasy western "The White Buffalo" i actually enjoy a lot, even though critics complain about the buffalo shots. "Telefon" & "Love & Bullets" needs blu ray releases hoping that Kino Lorber can release it for us fans. "Act of vengeance" for a tv movie i actually didn"t mind as its a different role for him rather than his normal characters that he usually plays. My all time fav Bronson movie is without a doubt "Once upon a time in the West" the Paul Talbot books on Charles Bronson are essential ones for fans of his work, a fantastic collection my friend one of the greatest tough guy actors on screen, they certainly don"t make them like Old Stone face !!!!

Cheers, Carlos! I printed out the background artwork from the internet and I later realized it's the same one as Jeff's T shirt. Yes, Twinky isn't the kind of film I would rewatch either. The Mechanic is great. I couldn't care less about what the critics said about the buffalo shots in The White Buffalo - they work fine for me. A Blu-ray release of Love & Bullets with the correct aspect ratio would be most welcome. Can't wait to dig into the Paul Talbot books. They will be an interesting and enjoyable read, I'm sure. All the best, buddy.

Hi Donny , what an amazing collection of movies, absolutely loved watching you go through his work and it's made me realize that there's a stack I need to add to the collection. I'll keep a look out for those books for sure. I did notice a few that you haven't upgraded on Blu-ray like Murphy's law and 10 to midnight, do you plan on getting those, I kept my dvd copies of both of those as I can't part with them for some reason. I personally couldn't rank in order my favorite Bronson movies hence why I just spoke of my most watched. Cheers for another great insightful video, take Care mate.

Thank you very much, Dan! I'm not really planning to upgrade some films to Blu-ray, but you never know, I might end up doing so eventually 😁 I know what you mean, buddy. I can't rank his films either. In fact, I can't rank any films. Anway, cheers for watching and commenting, my friend. Take care!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CUMAN-KIPCHAK BOY Charles Bronson has been the most famous of the Cuman-Kipchaks, lithuania and USA for the last 60 years. now he is 100 years old Charles Dennis Bronson was born in Ehrenfeld, Pennsylvania 3.november 1921 as the eleventh of a total of 15 children to a Lithuanian Roman Catholicimmigrant family.His mother, Mary Valinsky (lithuanian Marija Valinskis), was an American citizen, his father Valteris Bučinskis (English Walter Buchinsky from Druskininkai ),a miner lipka-Tatar descent, was USA naturalized later. My suggestion to Cumans, Lithuanians and Americans is to build a culture and art center in the name of Charles Branson on Totoriu street in Vilnius #vilnius #charles #bronson #cuman #kipchak #lipka #tatar #totoriu #buchinsky #lithuania #hollywood #movies

WOOooooW! Mighty impressive my friend! Question: that double feature, Crime Wave/Decoy (Warner film noir 4).... has that disc been in your player the last couple of years? I wanted to rewatch 'Decoy' a few days ago, and the movie didn't play anymore. Did a little research online and found a thread in which people where complaining about Warner's older dual-layered dvd releases... somehow one of the layers deteriorates after keeping it on your shelves a couple of years. Some had problems with the exact same disc as me; Crime Wave still plays, but Decoy stutters after a while and becomes unplayable. Would you mind checking your disc (when you have some spare time?) Even some other discs from that box set suffered these issues. Anyways.... great collection!
@OldmovieMike3 жыл бұрын
I have that release, and my Decoy does that, pisses me off it was starting to get good and then..scrambled picture, freezes up. Atleast Crimewave plays fine!
@fabulousbakerboy3 жыл бұрын
@@OldmovieMike Okay! Thank you for confirming. If you'll try out the other discs in that collection you'll probably find some more ('Side Sreet', 'Act of Violence'). It's a collector's nightmare Mike!!

@@fabulousbakerboy @DAGUE FILMS I'm afraid my copy of Crime Wave/Decoy has a problem as well. Like yours, the first film plays fine, but when I pressed play on Decoy, the menu frozed for a while and then it skipped the first 30 minutes of the movie and the rest of it works well. Very strange. So I can watch Decoy... except the first half hour. However, this Warner title isn't the only one that has issues, there's a lot more: a few months ago I was watching The Yakuza with Robert Mitchum and after an hour the picture frozed and a few seconds later, the player automatically rejected the disc. I tried it on a couple of other players and it did the same thing. I then checked the other DVDs from my Robert Mitchum Signature Collection boxset and it turns out that 4 out of 6 films does not work! I also checked out other Warner boxsets such as Marlon Brando (Reflections in a Golden Eye stutters, but Mutiny on the Bounty doesn't play at all!!!) and Val Lewton (I Walked with a Zombie, The 7th Victim and Ghost Ship all has problems). I still need to check out other DVD boxsets, but of the ones I have checked, the majority works fine, thank goodness. What I'm planning to do is to get the Blu-rays of the movies that does not play anymore. But it's like what you said, Mike: it's a collector's nightmare!
@fabulousbakerboy3 жыл бұрын
@@CinemaniacSeventy7 it turns out to be a manufacturing error at a certain plant in the US. You have to check all warner discs that were produced during 2006-2009, when they were using this factory. Discs produced in Canada or Mexico play fine. Still have lots of checking to do. Most of the faulty discs are dual-layered discs by the way. I'm amazed by your comment about Val Lewton; I think that box was produced in 2005 (so should not have issues) so i assumed they were fine. Will check those tonight.
