If you can make it all matte that is the way to go IMO. Then it ties together with the lower body trim! Then do the matte black head light washer nozzles and exhaust tips.

Gloss the carbon to match the roof etc. Get the back of those wheels milled down so they fit properly. The colour is perfect 🥰

I’ve actually liked the wheels since you first showed them, but I agree that you need to get them milled to fix that offset issue in the front. You could drop those other carbon pieces off to get a layer of clear coat sprayed on them to match the roof and spoiler.

With 10” wide fronts on a 997 milling them down to bring them under the car will cause the wheel to hit the coilovers. I’m running 19x10’s et42 on the front of my 997 and there’s 1mm between the inside of the wheel and the coilover. Wider front fenders/cup car fenders are your only route

@frederickcook87 damn 10s on the front? That's pushing the limit. I went with 255s on the front and 325s on the rear. That way I just had to do some light fender rolling to fit.

They make coilovers that FUNCTION with the PASM. Too bad you didn’t go that route. The stock PASM shock setup is NOT junk by any stretch.

Side intakes - if the finish is plastic then I’d recommend Gtechniq C4 trim restorer, to add back a darker colour and seal the surface. You can (should!) also use it on the plastic scuttle at the base of the windscreen - which always fades on the 987/96/97 cars. Love the paint colour!

Bilstein makes PASM compatible coil overs. Those plus a DSC controller from TPC Racing and you have a fully adjustable, active and programmable suspension.

Would have to do the front lower lip then as well and that lip gets ripped off pretty often. So it makes replacement more time consuming and expensive

I was just checking your website for parts. I have the 07 Turbo. Exited for this build!!! If you pull the Dash REPLACE the evaporator and the HI LO. Save yourself a TON of trouble. Please put PPF and ceramic in the back. Time to start treating this car like a Porsche. That paint job is sexy af.

Oh 1 idea that I am planning on doing with my 997.1 turbo side vents...that flat outside edge portion I'm going to paint match to my car. I will leave the inside portion matte black on mine (would be left carbon on yours). That will make the appearance more like the newer 991 and 992 style where it's only black inside the side vents.

@ScrapLife Garage just another idea for you...maybe a matte black on the wheels that matches the lower trim on the car and then use matte black exhaust tips that match as well. Same for the turbo badge on the rear? That ties all the colors together instead of just the wheels being the only thing that color. And using the matte black tips makes it so that they aren't the only polished piece on the car. Otherwise maybe try and match the tips, wheels, and turbo badge colors to be the same? Oh and the head light washer nozzles as well! They come in chrome/polished or in black. Available at Suncoast for a good price.

Beautiful car. I love the color but please have a paint correction done. There are so many deep swirls in that paint it looks cloudy. A paint correction will make it shine like it should. Can't wait to see it run!

I cross shopped the gtr and the 997 turbo. I really liked the gtr. But the biggest thing that made me decide against it was the stock gearbox strength. In order to make any significant power gains the gtr will need to have the gearbox upgraded or it will grenade. And the cost of an upgraded gearbox is really ridiculous IMO. However if someone wants to make a 2000hp+ build where everything is built then the gtr is awesome
