The military man you speak of is Admiral McRaven, navy SEAL. His speech to his alma mater, University of Texas, is titled “If you want to change the world, start with making your bed”. Perfect hospital corners men, try it for 8 weeks straight. Every soldier does this in basic training, and I’m sure other branches do it as well. Taking pride in the things that “don’t matter” makes you live life with intention. Give that speech a watch!
