I have eco-friendly Ganpati at my place, we have been having totally eco-friendly Ganpati since last 10 years. Our Ganpati is totally made of Shadu chi mati & coloured in Garu. Our decorations are totally made by using news papers and card board or mount board. This time we didn't make any decorations as I was not home to help my dad... But I have pictures of our past year's Ganpaties. Even our visarjan is at our house. We do visarjan in a drum...keep it like that for a night and next day we dispose the desolved clay, water and normally in our garden. This is possible as we stay in a bungalow... But I honestly think that it's high time people should start with totally eco-friendly Ganpati either made of clay or Brass or silver and bend rituals a bit for our betterment.

I think you should give a shout out to Dr. Vaidya in Chinchwad every year keeps his stall of eco friendly ganpati in Morya yatari Nivas. This year it will be from 17 Aug 17. Ganesh idols are painted with 4 colours. हळद कुंकू गुलाल अँड बुक्का। The idol dissolves in water in 1 hr in bucket . U can water ur plants with this water. can get the idols from Rs. 1. He will not ask for any price. He is raising the money for old age home. It is up to u how much u want to pay him. I personally have a huge respect for Dr. Vaidya .. If he is watching this video or reading these comments .. hatsoff to you sir .....
