uhhh I was tearing up when you ended your video with your narration. That is true. I always thought my parents and my grandparents were always going to be the same. But when I see them getting older, it makes me emotional and sad:( I should spend more time with them! Weylie, I love your video and have a good one:)

Yes, I tot our family members especially our Gramps, Parents, Siblings & Loved ones will always be here for us forever but not until the first death hit me at 14 years of age when my Grandpa passed on....then only did it hit me that life is short and now that my parents & brother have aged...that I've learnt that it's time for us Children to take care of them & not take for granted our every day. 😭🙏

As someone who didn’t grow up close to their Cantonese/Chinese side because I never felt welcomed as a girl, whenever you do Chinese vlogs is heals my inner child a little. I held on so much resentment for knowing I wasn’t liked as much for being a girl when my brothers were favorited but as I grow older (I’m 27 now with a 8 month old!) I have been trying to learn more about the culture and surround myself more in it so my son can know all aspects of his heritage. Not just the sides I preferred growing up. Please never stop making the Cantonese and mandarin vlogs!!

The ending made me cry 😢 I've lost all of my grandparents already and it's amazing to see you go on trips with your grandparents. It's something I wished to do but never got a chance. I lost both of my grandmas in the same year a couple years ago and it was the hardest year of my life. Definitely have to cherish your grandparents when there still well ❤

The ending narration was so beautiful 😭 I remember feeling the exact same way. My grandparents used to be my primary caretakers when I was small and now I’m the one driving my grandpa around and taking him places. My only regret is that I couldn’t drive my grandma around more and spend more time with her. She passed away suddenly in 2020 and I was so devastated. I moved back in with my grandpa to take care of him and it’s been a blessing being able to see him everyday and taking him around to places. (My canto is even getting better now!) It was so nice seeing all these beautiful moments with your family all smiling ❤ every time I see my grandpa laugh and smile super big it makes me so happy too 🥹 Also I cracked up seeing your grandpa in his pjs! My grandpa has the SAME pjs and I’m convinced every Chinese grandpa has that same one 😂

Hi Weylie! I was the one who came up and said hi to you at Island Vintage Coffee! Sorry I was so awkward, uncaffeinated, and makeup-less, but I was just so starstruck to meet you & Wah in the flesh! 多謝 for being so kind regardless and asking me what my good side was (a true girl's girl!) 😂 I'm glad you had a great time showing your grandparents around Oahu! My grandparents on both sides of my family have both passed on, but we shared SO many good memories in Honolulu together, so it was so nice to see you document & create memories you'll remember forever ❤

Thank you so much for sharing this Weylie! I've been a long time watcher of your channel (over 10 yrs now) and seeing you and your family come together made me so emotional. It really reminded me of my own family - we are Cantonese New Zealand immigrants (us kids were born here) and my eldest aunty was the one who raised us while my mum and dad worked in a takeaway shop. It's my dream to bring my aunty overseas, to show her the world and give back the love and support that she gave us while we were growing up. My aunty is now in an aged home and I can't help but feel like time is running out - you've inspired me to make more of an effort to give back to her. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful video with us

I’ve never met my grandparents and was always envious of people who grew up with their grandparents. My grandparents from my dad side passed way before I was born and my grandparents from my mother side, I never got to visit because they were still in Laos. My grandmother recently passed away and one of my biggest goal was to save enough money for me and my mom to go visit her this year for the new year. I saved just enough $ just a month after she passed and felt so devastated that I couldn’t bring my mom to see her mother and for me to finally meet my grandmother and take her shopping like this. This vlog made me feel so much love and happy to you still have your grandparents to go on trips with. Thank you for sharing this heartwarming video ❤

Currently my life feels like such a huge rush to get to where I want to be. But lately I've been learning to sit back and really enjoy those moments with my loved ones and your narration at the end really captured that for me. I also grew up in a Chinese American family, and I haven't had a lot of time to visit my grandparents as much as I would want. Definitely a good reminder for me to really spend that time with them before it's too late. Love your vlog Weylie, and thank you for sharing this slice of life with us!

Weylie (and Wah) 💖 I would trip out if I saw you here on O‘ahu. I remember wanting to go your meet up at the beach but my mom wouldn’t let me go. I saw a few classmates that went to your meetup and made appearances in your video on WahlieTV. I hope your sister enjoys living here! This was so wholesome and heartwarming so thank you for sharing some of these precious moments. I felt similarly with my Aunty and while she’s no longer here physically, I still bring her spirit with me when I travel or experience new things that I know she’d enjoy too. I love my grandpa and also thought he’d stay the same age as I grew older. It’s been challenging to see us both grow older but it only makes me more grateful to love someone and be loved by someone so special. Thanks for giving me this moment to reflect.. 🥰
