So much information & so many coins in this one, a few I knew nothing about and so sensitively put across too. These things... good or bad... is what gives us history and it can't be changed, just like things happening in our world today that our future generations will be learning about in years to come. How wonderful to have the coin from your grandfather I imagine that is a real treasure for you, it is a lovely coin. I think my favourite is the Saxony coin. I've always thought that most of the German coins are very much the same & quite plain but my interest has peaked now. A really interesting & very well presented video Lafta well done👏😀

Very interesting, thanks for showcasing! I have many German euro coins because I collect mostly from circulation. I'm trying to put together a date run for the small cent coins, but that's taking a while because they've made them almost every year since 2002 with five different mint marks!

Hi mate, you had nothing to worry about In the end, you worded the third r coins very well. Mine are a blueish colour from early 40s. I also have some 5 mark east g coins from 60s worth looking out for and recently watched a world coin hunt from usa and he got a hyper inflation coin which im now hunting.

To ad some information: In the Federal Republic of Germany there were still old designs for 2 DM coins and 5 DM coins 2 DM coin from 1951 (called "grapes and wheat") 2 DM coin on the occasion of Max Planck's 100th birthday (minted from 1957 to 1971) 5 DM coins made of silver (minted from 1951/1956 to 1974). And next to the two coins you already have 2 DM coins to commemorate 20 years of the Federal Republic Konrad Adenauer (first Chancellor / Chancellor of the West Link - minted from 1969 to 1987) Theodor Heuß (first Federal President - minted from 1970 to 1987) there were another 2 DM coins that were in circulation until the introduction of the euro 2 DM coin commemorating 30 years of the Federal Republic Kurt Schumacher (opposition leader in the first German Bundestag - minted from 1979 to 1993) 2 DM coin commemorating 40 years of Deutsche Mark Ludwig Erhard (first minister of economics "father of the economic miracle" - minted from 1988 to 2001 / from 1997 NIFC) 2 DM coin commemorating 40 years of the Federal Republic Franz Josef Strauß (Prime Minister of the Free State of Bavaria - minted from 1990 to 2001 / from 1997 NIFC) 2 DM coin commemorating 45 years of the Federal Republic Willy Brandt (Chancellor of the Eastern Approach - minted from 1994 to 2001 / from 1997 NIFC) Additional information: If you have Reichsmark coins from 1938 to 1944 with the mintmark "B", you can also assign them to your collection of Austrian coins, because the German mintmark "B" used by the Hanover Mint until 1878 was replaced in the period from Main Mint Office Vienna used. Thank you very much for this interesting coin presentation. I understand absolutely your decision to not mention by name the ideology that was supported by the Third Reich. I visited twice Oswiecim (Auschwitz) in Poland and the feelings are always strong for that moment of our history. We must read history to be more wise and avoid the mistakes of the past. You have a very nice variety of german coins in your collection. Personally I collect 2 euro commemorative coins and the German coins are my nightmare. There are to many of them in Circulation. But without doubt the Bundeslander Series coins are a great addition in every collection. Looking forward for the next letters...

The controversial coin shouldn’t be a worry, coin collectors know history and it is what it is. Although the KZbin algorithm will probably pick up those words (don’t know if I can even comment them without triggering the KZbin bot) but to show ur viewers it shouldn’t be a worry
@RealAntek
@RealAntek 4 жыл бұрын
I am Polish and still do collect these coins. Well, I don’t have many because they’re hard to find at a good deal and the zinc ones love to rot. What’s worse is that people like to destroy them because of the swas (had to censor for the KZbin bot)
