Awesome episode Stu (and Eric). What a great collection, and again well displayed. My Dad too collected 2 lines from the magazines you purchased every week. Fortunately for him they were the Napoleonic wars soldiers and cavalry. So no sticking together! (But display great!)

Thank you for watching. Eric's collection and display is most impressive. How many issues were in that series your Dad collected?

As I recall, about 100 in the foot soldiers, and 120 in the cavalry. He'd assumed (rookie mistake!) that the cavalry were 100 as well, so didn't go get the next few, so paying £15 or whatever it was at the time each week turned into a bill for over £100! Next time I'm there, I'll grab a pic

That is a lot of issues and a lot of money. It was about £38 a month for build the Bismark issues, with 4 issues a month over 2 years. It was the same for build the Millennium Falcon.

I know what you mean Stu regarding cost, but in saying that, my Dad had been to Hamleys (I appreciate that's an expensive shop) but lead figures of the same size were £30 or so each, and the magazines with the figures were just under £10.

The main thing is, was your Dad happy with the product start to finish? As in the actual finished item and the process of making it

Absolutly epic Prime & Shogun collection.🤯 I started to buy that Falcon series then, stopped & moved onto the De Gastini helmet collection, never completed that either, but they are probably still putting them out. Awesome chat, I never knew about Eric till now. Cheers👍🍻
