To all high schoolers: don't get involved in a thousand activities!! Get REALLY involved in 1 or 2. Colleges want to see passion and commitment, not a list of activities. Things have changed and this is a really misunderstood part of applying.

As a college sophomore TRANSFER student, I just wanted to say to anyone in the process or anyone who is a freshman and is worried that they won't feel/don't feel at home.. YOU CAN ALWAYS TRANSFER. The process is a bit of a pain, but you should feel like your college/university is home, so don't be afraid to transfer!!!!!!

THIS IS SO IMPORTANT OMG I originally was at university of pittsburgh for my first semester of college but i absolutely hated it there. i ended up taking a semester off and i felt completely lost. i decided to apply as a transfer to NYU to see if i would get in and i did (': i'm happier here than i ever could've been at university of pittsburgh and i'm also doing way better academically (holla at that 4.0.) if you're not happy at your college don't be scared to transfer!

My huge college struggle was finding a college that had my degree (Birth-3) early childhood and was online and affordable. It took me months before I finally found my school! I started losing hope and stressing out too but my support team kept saying I would find the right one and I eventually did. Just another example of great things take time! I was rejected to study physical therapy in all seven Universities that offer this study in Austria for two years... in the second "gap" year I worked and kinda got really interested into logistics... then I applied for International Logistics Management (which is only 35 spots in Austria) and I was so confident with applicatio interviews and got in :) don't be frustrated when you get denied... there is something better on the way

This was a great video Danielle! I remember my college counselor telling me in high school that 8 is a good number for applications. 2 "Dream" schools that are pretty unrealistic based on your stats 2 "Reach" schools that you could mayyybe get into but it would be a stretch 2 "Reasonable" schools that you are almost definite you can get into and 2 "Done Deal" schools that are basically your backups like if you don't get in anywhere else, you KNOW you'll get in there. I personally applied to 1 school, and I got in and had a great experience. But I also knew I wanted to go to Texas A&M from second grade lol. I live right up the street from SMU. It's a great school, looking at them for grad school. The whole application process is STRESSFUL. Going through it now for grad school and I'm so overwhelmed lol

I got accepted into a competitive business school and it took me 3 years to get into upper years as they only let 50 people in every year. I felt in my heart that's where I belonged and it worked out. Trust me, rejection in the moment is so painful, but once you get to where you need to be you'll see it brings so many positive lessons ❤️

As a high school sophomore, this video helped so much! I know next year I need to begin to look at colleges, so this helped a lot. I've recently been feeling that my grades are not good enough to get into the schools I want to go to. I take all honors/AP and usually get As and Bs, and I'm stressing out that my GPA is not good enough. This video helped so much though, because it shows everything will work out in the end! This is EXACTLY what I needed. I love Fordham too its so pretty and I'm in the midst of applying and this dang Nov 1st deadline ugh!!!! Ive already gotten accepted into U of Pitt and I have applied to two others already and Im applying to the number one business school in the US (Villanova) which I love but is very rare I'll get in but thank you for sharing your story! Literally everything Danielle said is so true. I applied to 6 schools and got rejected from 4 of my safety schools but got into my reach schools. So don’t stress it’s 100% unpredictable but it’ll work out in the end.

I didn't get in to any of the schools I applied to this past year. I applied to a very difficult program so of course I wasn't surprised but still devastated.
