My Coming Out Story

I deeply dream of a day when people won't feel compelled to come out or reveal being who they are towards others. I mean, a world where parents will not expect their children to come out, but just be welcoming to any boyfriend or girlfriend their children may bring home. My dream is all about seeing people loving and being loved freely, without bounderies.

I sure can relate. I am raised Catholic too and know all the hassles that involves. My parents don't know but the situation would be at least as bad as yours with your mom. Your comments really seem to come from the heart and were totally worth my time. From what I can tell, your BF Anthony is a pretty lucky guy too. Thanks a lot for posting this. It really helps.

Great video. I came out late in life, which I regret. I do have 4 wonderful children but they’re not on board with the gay thing. Thanks for the reminder to not do battle with them over this. It’s hard. Bless you and Anthony. Also being openly gay and a Christian is not a sin. An easy read for you is “God and the Gay Christian” by Matthew Vines.

Sorry for reacting eight years late, but I only watched your video today. That is really a grown-up attitude, being judged by your parents and not rejudging them yourself! Respect for that. Being gay maybe it’s a shock for parents when they are told for the first time. But then they should get over it. It’s just a fact of life, one fact among many others, life is far more than just being gay. Concerning your readiness of turning straight if it were possible you better think twice, because then you would lose your loved Anthony and you probably don’t want that to happen. Ideally i think this is a world that we all want to live in, however unfortunately its a world of fairytale. Hopefully one day i will be able to love my significant other out in the open (whoever they may be), but until that day comes unfortunately we will have to live with the insecurities of the outside world! You seem like a wonderful, grounded person. BUT...Please stop holding yourself accountable for the thoughts and feelings of others. They are theirs alone and you can do nothing about how they "feel." And sin is a highly overrated Medieval concept. If God didn't like us gay people she wouldn't keep making so many of us.

There is on recurring theme among all these coming out story’s and it comes down to Religious beliefs, and I must say, it saddens me greatly that so many people are so indoctrinated by this religious crap that goes on in the mindless asses, people and parents are willing to give up their own children in exchange for their indoctrinated BS beliefs. I am not against religion in fact, I think all religions collectively tell us a good story, however, independently their all control mechanisms to brainwash its victims into a sort of faults submission to a god that supposedly loves everyone equally, and yet people can’t or refuse to see this. to me it’s very clear that religion is the number one cause of so much of the hatred in our world and yet people are still willing to follow it as it it’s all loving and righteous, to me it’s all total BS. Anyway, I apologies to all of you who has parents that have decided to disown them, I was very fortunate when I came out to my parents. It will all change one day.

I want you to know that you’re not wrong to be who you are and God does not hate you for you to be who you are and I hope that you realize that the guy does not hate you. And this video has charge my heart very much and you should know that God does not hate you he loves you for being who you are between me and you that means. Something and in the same except with your parents except you for who you are but I know and I did it for you agree with. Your lifestyle or get Mehringer into whatever it is I’m gay is not as soon as how you say it to me don’t forget about this other one to lust and don’t let it become that our God will see it. As lust but you should know the difference with lust and love don’t let it become that for you that is what people says about it. But other than that it’s so quiet send this video touched my heart and yes it did but God does not hate you for being gay he loves you for you as a person your own life he loves you for that God does not hate.. you at all he loves you for who you are but as for that Lightning deal I am sorry of that having to your brother and I think God that he survived. You should know your family still loves you even if they don’t agree with most things that eat you fully agree with or not agree with it doesn’t matter to me I will not judge because God will judge us by our merits of sin or obedience and if you believed in God in life that’s the only way that he can do that it’s like I said God loves you for who you are on the inside and from the outside it doesn’t matter if you’re gay or not And I can love you for being who you are and don’t matter to me if you are straight or homosexual I do not care if you are gay or not I can love you as a person don’t forget that commandment greatest commandment that was been told to the 12 where is said this And the greatest commandment is these to love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul and mind and all your strength love yourself as you love your neighbor and if you can do these and do not turn away from those who wants to borrow from you or if they are in need of thirst and hunger do not turn them away these are the Commandments that I given you to follow if you want to follow me I can love you as a neighbor and as a brother I will not true aside and I will not let you go firsty and I will not let you go hungry if you wanted to borrow I will not turn that away from you either in for that that is saying some thing to love your neighbor as I love myself it would not matter if you’re gay or not makes no difference to me I cannot judge anyone or I will be judged by the same measures that I have judged Judge not or are you too will be judge for the same measures as you have judged This is what parents should know even if they are part of a religion or if they are in the faith I am in the faith and I would never do anything like that to anyone
