Dudes, I like anybody who's mathematical about anything they do. This is a good business model because the number of custom riders is rising worldwide.

Great video! Im torn lol. I have the same inseam as you. I like the stock seat because i have movement back and forth but wife hates passenger seat. Reach seat height looks great for me. Im on a street glide with stock shocks so would you say the sundowner is very close to stock seat more than reach?

Good information. As a 2020 Road King Special owner, and a shorter stature (5'6" on a good day) I tried a couple different seats also. 1st was the Mustang Low Down Touring with Backrest. Comfort much better about the same seat height. I then went to the Mustang Wide Tripper Solo with backrest. Dropped me roughly .5". Can definitely flat foot easier now. 1st ride on this seat was 250 miles. Very comfortable. I'm pretty sure this is the one that will be staying on my RKS. I'm planning to change rear shocks in the next month or so. Considering either Legend or Ohlins. Not sure which way to go yet. Ride safe. Take care.

I went with Ohlins rear shocks on my 09 Street glide and love them. I've put over 20,000 miles since the switch and recommend the Ohlins. Just FYI it did raise my bike 1 inch, don't know if it would do that to your RKS.

@@sbhjackson5931 I ordered the Legends. They will go on this week. Stayed with the stock size 12”. From what I can find out the sag will be set at 11.5”. Should bring me down a little more. Should be perfect since the Harley shocks don’t sag at all. Take care.

Hi, loving your RKS videos. Very detailed. Can I ask if you have the stock bars? They look lower than mine….unless it’s the seat making it just look more comfy!

I'm 5'5 and like my reach seat on 2016 StreetGlide. It's good for short rides or rides with frequent breaks. Not so good on long rides. On long rides my tailbone hurts. I put 50,000 miles on stock seat and just recently sent it to mean city cycles to do double decker mod. I got it back a week ago and have put 200 miles so far. I'm so happy with the cushion it gives, absorbs all the bumps in the road. Unfortunately I'm more confident riding on my reach seat as it puts me in a good position to handle the bike. I'll be sending my reach seat to Mean city cycles to do double decker mod and tailbone pressure release mod soon.

Wow, let me know how the reach seat feels and how high it is after you get it back from Mean City Cycle. Thanks.

How is your passengers back feel against the sissy bar with the sundowner? I bought the tallboy and it sits to high on the passenger back sissy bar

Great informative review. 👍🏼👍🏼 I have a 2020 Road Glide special… So me and my wife was on a long daytrip yesterday.And for that occasion, I had borrowed the Sundowner seat from a friend + the Tourpak. But the seat, made a whole difference in all day ride comfort for both of us. Now I’m just in doubt between the Sundowner or the Hammock seat. So can you not make a review of this also 🤣
@rtabcum3 жыл бұрын
I was also interested in the Hammock but I if I remember correctly, it sits a bit higher than the Sundowner and with my limited hight, its just a little too high for comfort at stoplights. Thanks..

I put a Sundowner on my 22 RK. Do you have a gap between the seat, tank, and frame? I have an inch or so. I'm trying to figure out how to fill the void. (It's under the seat, not in front)

hey bro...I'm 5ft 5...and getting a windshield. would a 16 inch be too low? I want to be looking over the windshield but do not want wind blowing into my face. I think the 20 is too tall for me... Getting my RK Special!
@rtabcum2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, being the same height, my eyes is looking through my 20" windshield sitting on my stock seat. The 16" should put you well above eye level. A better thing to do may be to test ride a bike at the dealership with a 16" windshield if they have one.

How’s the reach seat. Would you do 100 mile ride with it ??
@rtabcum3 жыл бұрын
Well, 100 miles might be bearable. The reach seat basically "hugs" you in the seat so it become a bit un-comfortable being a lock position for that long. The cushion is very thin also so you will feel every bump that is over 1/2" on the highway. Around town its great and confident inspiring. However, long distance I would not recommend it.

I’m 5’9 and ride a SG with 12” la chopper twin peaks. I’m having to reach for my bars. Which seat in your video would you recommend
@rtabcum2 жыл бұрын
I would actually recommend you visit your local Harley Davidson dealer's parts department and take the different seats for a test drive. Everyone is different so its best to try them out. Its free to test them. My local shop allowed me to take it home for a week. It was good to do some long rides and short ones to see how each seat feels before making the decision.

Was wondering. How is the seat holding up. I’m looking to buy new seat. I have 09 road glide.
@rtabcum3 жыл бұрын
With my weight of 165 lbs, the seat cushion is holding up well. On longer rides, I do need to get up and walk around after each tank fill. No rips or wear in the leather like material noticeable. Still looks new today.

Excellent I take it you would buy it again. I ordered one. Thanks you.
