You could also use a glass cuticle tool from Trim. You use it to push back the cuticle but also, using circular motions, you can clean off dead skin. It's very satisfying.

Hi..Just found your channel. Fascinating to watch. I have been collecting nail polish for years. And i have at the moment about 100 bottles. All Essie, that's all I buy. So seeing all the colors you have reported on are new to me. Since watching you, I have bought about 20 bottles. I shop at Wal greens and this week they had Essie on sale buy 2/get one. So I was really able to stock up. I also ordered the Olive and June Mani System starter set. Excited for that to arrive. thank you so much. these videos are fun to watch. Update 5/2022. I got my olive and june mani system. Love some of it. Not crazy about some of it. I love all the tools. Especially the polish remover pot. Love love it. Its so much fun to use. Love the buffer and the clippers. Love the shape the clippers give my nails. Not crazy about the poppy. I had a hard time getting it on. And was just to awkward for me to use. As far as the polish, the colors are beautiful. But not crazy about the quality. It started peeling off the next day. No matter what I tried. Applying Very thin coats, letting completely dry between coats. It just peeled right off. So I'll use the tools but stick with Essie polish.

This probably one of the best nail tutorials I've ever seen. I have used a brush to clean up polish in the past. It always seems to smear where yours just vanishes. Is it because I use a non acetone base, you think? I like to stay as non-chemical as possible. That cuticle tool may just be my saving grace. I too have that hard skin layer in the corners of my nails and I thought I was just cursed with it. I had no idea that tool would help. Thanks for making this video. Can't wait for my first O&J shipment to come ... any day now!

Hi fellow polish freaks. I watched the old mani video about a year ago now And even though I have been a polish freak for many a year That video made a huge, in fact the biggest difference ever to my nail care and routine My nails and cuticles have never looked better or been as healthy Laurie can I suggest that older video is good to watch in conjunction with this new video. it’s also interesting to see how techniques evolve Thanks as always Laurie for the video and the time and effort you put in. I think I’ve said that before but it is truely appreciated They are always so inspirational The only down side is now my world must stop While I go pick a colour for next week I try to reframe myself to one mani a week and I can do that now as I find just through good care and healthy nails the polish lasts longer Anyway once again thank you from a Fellow polish freak to.

Great video! Thanks for all the tips and tricks. I like how you clean up at the very end. I have been cleaning up as I paint, but the polish is still wet then and it tends to smear it and make a bigger mess. Your way seemed to avoid that!
