Hi Maia! I just got my Enchanted Forest coloring book in the mail! Had no idea it was so "vintage". I am really loving the art work and hope my coloring will do it justice. Yours is GREAT WORK!! It really inspired me to see all the great color choices and placements in your work, I have a quick questions ( sorry I'm such a newbie) When you used water colors or acrylics, did you treat the paper first with like Satin Glazing Liquid or Gesso? Or can this great paper take the wet mediums without first treating it? I want to use paint and markers too as well as pencils so I am just wondering. Thanks if you can help and thank you once again for sharing your amazing coloring!

Hello my dear ! So happy for you that you got enchanted forest ! Its one of my favorite books ! No i didn’t treat the paper before actrylic or watercolors , it doesnt need it. Keep in mind that the more water you use , the more likely the paper will warp a little. That personally doesnt bother me, but i would suggest testing your mendiums in the back pages of the book to see how they work. Happy coloring ! (By the way at the end of my last video -coloring updates episode 6 i actually show alittle of me working in enchanted forest, in case you’re interested)

Omg !! Thank you so much for the feedback. I believe you are right, that was an old video when i didn’t have much experience making videos yet, but i plan to make that video again because i completed many more pages in Enchanted Forest so watch out for an updated video on that and i wont move the book in that one.
