Hey Linus, for parking in the garage I highly recommend getting wheel stops! Yes you can do a tennis ball from the ceiling, or other options. But wheel stops work the best. You just park exactly where you want your vehicle to be, stick them down in front of front tires! Now you just pull forward until they stop you. Actually made my own out of wood railing, stain, and velcro so I can pull them up if working in that space so I don't trip.

Tennis ball from the ceiling has the benefit of not catching dirt like a Velcro strip, and not messing with your ability to sweep or wash your floor. You will never trip on it either. Sure it may look silly but it’s just so dang practical with almost no downsides.

Love the dynamic that Linus and Yvonne have. Coming out of a bad relationship, it's really noticeable in these videos how comfortable they are around each other. Maybe it is just me but what stuck out to me was when Yvonne was discussing the van parking and said "Linus is really insistent it needs to go on this side, so I guess it's important to him". It seems to me that even though she doesn't understand why he want's it parked on that side and she has her own ideas about parking, she trust's that he has valid reasons for wanting it a certain and understand's it's important to him and going along with it. That kind of cooperation / trust between two people is rare.

I'm sure it's not all sunshine and rainbows, every relationship has some flaws or something that annoys you about the other person. People always put their best self forward for the camera, don't take it as that's how relationships are 100% of the time. I'm saying all this so you don't potentially sabotage yourself out of what could be a pretty healthy future relationship. Compromises are just a part of that, and it's healthy as long as the compromises are equally from both people.
@laur-unstagenameactuallyca15872 жыл бұрын
@@pasteleptic yeah but that on camera was an example of a compromise, not "sunshine and rainbows". sunshine and rainbows, and unrealistic portrayals of a relationship, would be things like rom-coms where the partner automatically wants everything you want and doesn't have differing opinions: the perfect partner, requiring no need for compromise. You do know, there's nothing wrong with actually informative and positive portrayals of a healthy relationship - there's nothing wrong from learning from those also. I mean we have an over-abundance of shitty relationship portrayal in media, so what's wrong with taking this portrayal and learning what to look for from it? You don't have to rain on ppls parade all the time.
@pasteleptic2 жыл бұрын
@@laur-unstagenameactuallyca1587 Life rarely goes as any form of media portrays, would you be able to know how somebody's life is by their Facebook, or are you just making assumptions? Personal experiences are what truly matters for most things, with the exception of videos that are specifically made to help manage aspects of your life. @@BrianStokesKC ever seen a strong magnet next to a chunk of copper or magnet dropped down a copper pipe? It's pretty cool. I dont think so. First of all the cables are shielded and second it would need a much bigger Magnetic field to have an effect to digital signals. (Like an EMP)

Linus having 4 Denon receivers I have found they have a flaw on them after 6 months to a year the video board fails. Had two of them fail thankfully still had the warranty on them. I have found the cooling for those boards is very poor sense they are on top of the amps they get warm and cause issues down the road. A cheap fix I did was put a AC Infinity receiver cooler on Top so basically if it sees heat it will kick on some quite fans and pull the heat out of the unit. Ever sense I did this I have not had a single failure. I have sense moved my receivers to a rack and still use those coolers on them and have been happier.

No, avoid professional movers at all costs. Learned from experience that when they lose literally everything you own, there is no legal recourse. Once they tell you they don't know where your stuff is, you cannot make them look for it.

Use them for the big heavy stuff that is replaceable. Always move the things you really care about yourself, nobody else is going to treat them as carefully as you will.

5:30 I install fiber optics for a living, there's one click cleaners, sure might cost a lil bit but one, well, click and they're good to go 90% of the time

Watching Linus teach his kids is... just so wholesome. I'd watch a Linus Kids Tips channel. Or set up my nephews in front of said channel on KZbin Kids.

Linus has obviously never heard of one-click cleaners for fiber optic cables before. Cleaning fiber optic ferrules isn't hard work, it's just one or two clicks and that's it 😂 Also, why isn't there a fiber optic patch panel with couplers? Sure it adds a little bit of attenuation but then you never have to worry about damaging or stuff like that when switching to a new computer for example.

It's a pain if you don't have them on hand haha.

They can still add a patch panel with couplers. But it seems they used patch cable runs and not installation fibers, those are a bit more difficult to put in the patch trays. But I agree, if you install a patch with couplers you don't need to replace the cable in the wall when an connector breaks.

@@linussebastian6053 good point, luckily I always carry multiple spares in my van, these things always run out on moments you don't want them to.

You know as some one who was professional furniture mover and quoted for jobs. The quote he got for moving really was reasonable when you consider labor and then professionalism of the move and lack of headaches he would had to deal with.
