I just got my conch piercing yesterday, and it went amazing! It didn't hurt that much, like a 2/10. The ear had reddened for like an hour. But it was worth it! I love it so much.

I got my conch orbital piercing a week ago and that pain I’m having is terrible , I hear it takes 6-12 months to heal . can someone tell me if that means it will hurt for 6 months ?? EDIT: lol I was such a drama queen , it only hurt for 2-3 days I’m perfectly fine now , I used a saline solution ( or any solution that has NaCl in it ) :)

I got matching conch piercings at the same time! The piecer joked that I must not like sleep lol Im about 5 months in and theyre very much still healing. He recommended a donut travel pillow and oh my gosh has that been the biggest life saver!! That way I can sleep on my side like normal and my ear has a little void to rest in. If I dont use that pillow I can tell immediately with pain and soreness throughout the day!

I got my conch piercing about 6 months ago. It is still healing, and I still clean it, just once a day now at this point. I have enjoyed the process of healing, even though it had little frustrating moments. Does anyone know, once it heals, how I will know it is healed? And after it is healed, can I go right to putting rings in? Just curious if anyone has advice. This is my first piercing!

your best bet is to go to your piercer… pretty much any questions or concerns, go to the professional :) as for when it’s healed, that’s normally by the end of the time your pierced said (6-8 weeks) as long as there’s no snagging, batching, sleeping on, or tugging to an extreme amount. i sleep with my ear resting in a travel pillow because i sleep on my sides, but just follow the piercers advice.

I just got my conch done 2 days ago and I have to say the initial piercing was a 2/10 and that’s only because the pressure was slightly uncomfortable. However, today I have experienced bruise like pressure pain and slight throbbing which I helped with ibuprofen. I’ve been cleaning 5-7 times a day meaning I don’t really clean off intense crusting so the cleaning process is less painful than it could be. I’ve also been using saline spray twice a day. Overall I think the pain can be helped with cleaning schedule, patience, and occasionally Tylenol or ibuprofen.

cit laly Oh if only I can show you my ears. I have big ones and thick cartilage. 😝It also depends on pain tolerance or even the piercer. I got my rook 2 days ago and it was like my conch on the pain scale. I thought my rook would be even worst cuz it’s like at least 2 times thicker than my conch. My piercer is awesome! I think it also helps that he’s fast and has the strength.

I got my conch piercing a week ago and have a stainless steel stud in it. I bought a titanium implant grade stud with a 16g 12mm post and I'm planning to switch to it next week. Would that be possible? Also, 12mm seems to be too long of a labret post for my conch but it's titanium and I wanna be sure that my piercing heals well. Btw, I never had major issues during the 1st week.

Given that it is fresh I'd head to your piercer (if possible) and have them choose a suitable length and jewelry for you. Changing jewelry while it is still healing can lead to irritation if it's not something you've got down 100%.

I got my conch piercing done last year in early December 2021 on my left ear. That one wasn’t as painful but, a little bit more pressure for getting it done. On my right ear the same piercing last May 2022. It was a little bit of pain but, no pressure. I had a different piercer on them. One of them was gentle and the other one was a little bit tougher. I liked this place that I went to that I went for 4 times for 5 piercings so far. My first piercing at that place was my industrial piercing on my left ear. I went through the most painful piercing in late September 2019. I do have 6 piercings on both of my ears so far. I still want more on my ears. I can handle the pain no problem. I still don’t want any tattoos. Tattoos aren’t for me. I do liked them on somebody else.

@theminimalistninja
@theminimalistninja 3 жыл бұрын
Most people will be able to, yes. This depends on the earbud though and how easily you can insert it. I refrained from using earbuds (due to the risk of accidentally touching the piercing) for the first few weeks. After that I put them in using a mirror only. Now that it's healed it's all good - while it is healing I would be cautions! :)

@theminimalistninja
@theminimalistninja 5 жыл бұрын
If it were puss, you would be in trouble! :) It's probably just lymph fluid, which is a normal part of the healing process. Puss is usually greenish in color and would indicate infection, which a piercer would be able to assist you with. Conch piercings can take up to a year to heal and what you described, is totally normal for having it for a week. Of course, don't touch it, don"t move it and rinse with water or sterile saline solution. No moving, touching, etc. during cleaning needed. It's going to be like this for a minute until things have calmed down. The most painful period for me was the first week of my first conch piercing. The second one was a lot better. It's hugely dependent on you as a person though. Also, what material is your jewelry made out of and from what brand is it? Those are also always things to consider as low-quality and improper jewelry can slow the healing process! :) If you have serious concerns, you can always go back to your piercer for a quick consultation! :)
