That is a very smart list and choices!! I'm excited about the 18mm, I hope it makes it to your favorite list this time lol. I even love that bag!!! Big thumbs up 👍👍👍👍👍

Thanks Peter! I have been enjoying the lens so far 😄 I just got to Japan and it’s been a fun lens to use.

Hi everyone! I thought I'd share with you more than just a camera bag rundown. Do you overpack or like to keep things small and lightweight? Let me know and thanks for watching! :)

Hi Shane, great video! Don‘t you shoot with the G9 ll anymore? Greats from Germany, Mathias
@GeekyNerdyTechy4 ай бұрын
I shoot with it a lot. It’s been one of my most used cameras for outdoor situations. 😊

Nice kit Shane :) - I’d like to give that 24 to 105mm f/4 lens a go :) … I guess it’s just pretty massive lol 😂

That’s a lens I need to try at some point 😀

If it's just travel like in a vacation that's a lot of stuff. I would take my iPhone and GoPro, extra batteries, probably small Rode Mic (maybe not). I wouldn't take my G9II either. Who wants to carry a big camera around on vacation! You said yoy would take the other camera because it had a fan. Your other videos said it was really tough to get the G9II to overheat? I took a MacBook Pro to Seattle once and it got stolen. So no more computers on vacation. I have a thumb drive to back up pictures with.

I’m making content while I’m here it’s not a typical holiday otherwise I’d bring a lot less. 😊👍

I can only fit in one camera this trip. I didn't want to go too heavy on the luggage. :)

I honestly thought you were going to name the G9II .. I'm still on the MFT system. I'm wondering if I should get that instead of the SII
@GeekyNerdyTechy4 ай бұрын
The G9II is a beast, it could have gone either way but I wanted to give the S5II a decent run in on this trip.

Very cool! I traded them in for S5II and a G9II. My multicamera is all S5II cameras now.

Now are you going overseas to check out the rumoured Panasonic S9…hearing FF, small-compact rangefinder, IBIS and PDAF…haven’t heard about weather sealing. Your s5ii lenses will fit! Loving the teasing we are hearing, but was truly hoping m43. Will be seriously tempted if FF, but will likely finally give up hope (and my whining) and sell my Panasonic mft and either try OM or simply give up and finally move all in to Sony. Nice gear summary!

Hi Sean I also do a lot of travel videos mostly around Turkey I’ve recently obtained the Dji osmo pocket 3 and I was very sceptical at first but for the size of it I’m using more and more of its content especially in low light where it performs much better than a GoPro and it’s just handy to be in my pocket. What’s your thoughts? By the way? I’m also an S5 fan, and I still take my GH5 with a 70-200 for long shots
@GeekyNerdyTechy4 ай бұрын
Hi Mick. The new pocket 3 looks and sounds great but the GoPro I use is only for outside shots when I want everything in focus. I’d love one of those cameras but the GoPro is waterproof as well so I use it when I’m at the beach ☺️👍if I didn’t already have a few action cams I’d get the pocket 3 for sure, as it looks great.

Maybe I missed it but why would you select the S5iix over the G9ii? Reliability or flexibility in different lighting and other situations?
@GeekyNerdyTechy4 ай бұрын
I just wanted the active cooling for this trip as the temperature here can get quite warm. In heinsight, I could have just taken the G9II and 10-25mm :) Maybe next time I'll give that a shot if the opportunity comes up again.
@MrTifoso314 ай бұрын
Want to be compact with 3 lenses? The G9m2 with the 10-25 1.7 would have done the job. Have fun on your trip 😉
