Do you ever think that what lies between Now and tomorrow could be all that’s left of your life Do you ever listen when all your friends tell you the sparkle is Missing from within your eyes Don’t you ever feel excited Or just the need to take control And release yourself To listen to the voice that’s crying From somewhere deep inside your soul Out for happiness And give in to me and my convictions I know that you're running from feelings and words that will hurt you With everything that you have I can tell you’re spending your days alone running in circles Because you're all troubled and sad I believe that life is greater Than you and I will ever know For what it’s worth That love is keeping us together That giving in and letting go Speaks louder than words if you’re afraid of uncertainty and heartache To lose the ones you love You’re too tough to learn from all your flaws and mistakes It's only logical Cause I believe that life is greater Than you and I will ever know For what it’s worth That love is keeping us together That giving in and letting go Speaks louder than words So if you ever feel excited Or just the need to take control And release yourself Listen to the voice that’s crying From somewhere deep inside your soul Out for happiness And give in to me and my convictions

Yes, me too. When I heard this once I thought about Morten Harket from a-ha. I grew up with this music and still love it. And now I hear the difference and now I love this music as it is: it is Jacob Bellens! Music for my soul coming from a good musician's heart! ♡

This guy has such a great voice. Wondering why he is not more popular. So much bullshit which have a lot clicks on KZbin. But quality songs are not clicked. Wtf?

Ikr. But maybe it's like Roger Waters said in an interview when asked how he felt about part of the audience walking out on his Days of Our Lives-show in 2017, which featured heavy critisism of the then-sitting president: "I don't understand how someone could have been listening to my songs for 50 years and still not understand what I'm about. But it's fine, I don't care. They can go listen to Kate Perry or whatever, and all the best to them." Maybe it just takes a certain amount of empathy and ability to listen to music to really get this kind of high-quality stuff that people like Waters - or Bellens - puts out. So full of emotion and deep thinking, as it is.

Burde blive et megahit! Hørte den på P4 og var hooked på stedet Skøn tekst og så er jeg vild med blandingen af skøn pop og den næsten Tom Waits`ke intonation/vibrato i omkvædene.
