Okay so basically I held the volume and power button n it said recovery and shut off again literally 2 seconds after it said recovery. Then I held the power button and it said Coolpad but again after 2 seconds it shut back off. And when I kept doing those two things the process repeated. How do I make it stay on???

My phone was hissing while charging but idk if it was the charger or the phone, maybe both. After it hissed I decided to not charge it because when I took the charger out, it looked like something was melting. hello sir. trick worked. just finished updating the phone. Randomly it shuts itself down, and now I'm using more of holding power and volume switch to have the coolpad working. It works, but I have to repeat the process.??

@R R The back does come off,, there is adhesive holding it in place. Taking the battery out is a whole nother story. Print on battery says: Do Not Remove the Battery ! This reset trick did not work for me, im going back to iphone. Android sucks !
