Why I subscribed to JM’s vlog? 1. The vlog is very informative. Sa mga travel vlog di sya nakafocus sa sarili nia. But you can feel and see na he wants to give all the information he can to his viewers. 2. He is decent. Very simple, articulate, hindi sya maarte and very down to earth. Typical na makikita mong genuine yung vlog na what you is is what you get. 3. Real. Makakarelate ka sa vlog nia. Hindi pasosyal. Either may extra budget ka to splurge a little or travel on a budget, pasok sya in both category. Malapit sa katotohanan na magagawa ng madaming tao yung travel nia. 4. Inspiring. Nabibigyan ka ng hope and dream na mapupuntahan mo din yung mga lugar na yun dahil “achievable” sya. Parang nakarating kana din minsan dahil malinis ang pagka vlog nia. 5. Good son. I like how he treats his parent so well. For someone who doesn’t have parents anymore, it gives me comfort watching the vlog seeing JM having the time and opportunity to be his parents and let them travel as well. Even sa cousins at sis nia i can feel na mabuti syang tao. JM continue doing more vlogs. Haters gonna hate but don’t let them affect you. God will protect you because he knows you more than these people. Hope you stay the same I am thankful I got to see your channel before. It makes a difference especially during hard times. I dont know u personally, but i saw myself in u, u had d advantage of supportive family and education. I am 79 yrs old, and grew old opposite as yours, but, i have an impossible dream of travelling..i did what u are doing now..i cant believe where or had i been now, ive been to almost countries i want, cruises, almost 20 x, travelling in bc class, its because i had done what you are doing now, pagsisikap, positive attitude, pagmamahal at pangunawa sa kapwa and above all faith in my creator..i choose a job that could sustain all my dreams, work to death sabi nga..u r on the right tract, but i must tell you, nasa isang tuldok pa lang, wait till u r 79 yrs old, surely maalala mo ako, with all my painful arthritis, i will not stop, travelling. Planet earth is so unbelievably amazing..advised lang stay healthy, watch ur diet and a seasoned traveller bring home only memories, good luck, lola po ito

As a travel content creator that has a 9-5 job, i guess its okay naman to tell your viewers. its not your obligation but subscribers i think need to know. Mahirap iwan ang corporate job na stable ka, regular ka. kasi that is stable and in the time na mag retire ka you will have your separation pay and retirement benefits. Wherein sa YT walang ganun. The difference with marvin samaco's work eh, he can come back anytime na susuweldo sya ng malaki. and also he can also do freelance. CPA sya, he can comeback anytime. While sa corporate world of course they will find someone to replace you. and also ang leave is 15 days vacay leave, and 15 sick leave. so ilan lang naman ang 15 days vacation leave? di naman pwede gamitin ang sick leave unless nakaratay ka na sa bed. mas mahirap iwan ang corporate job. lalo na di ka na makakabalik. so goodluck JM i hope magtuloy tuloy ang YT career mo.

Reasons kung bakit binubully ng mga bashers si JM: 1. Di nila matanggap na miserable yung buhay nila, habang si JM, sobrang successful. 2. Di nila matanggap na miserable yung trabaho nila kasi maliit ang sahod, pangit ang kumpanya, at hanggang dun na lang sila sa kumpanya nila, pero si JM, na promote nang na promote, until kayang kaya na nya bumukod. 3. Di nila matanggap na hirap na hirap sila sa pera (LOL), habang si JM, bumubuhos ngayon ang blessings (after years ng pagsisikap at pagtyatyaga, of course). 4. I’ve been seeing comments about you and your job, and some people demanding to know ano na yung current job mo as if you owe them anything. You dont, sir JM. Nakakalungkot lang na yung some people are so hostile. If you don’t like his content anymore no need to bad mouth.

Maybe because JM had this branding of “Ulirang empleyado” which made him relatable to a lot of viewers (if you’re a supporter before the international travel vlogs you would know) he made the viewers feel na normal lang siya sa content creator na need mag file ng leave or pag out ng friday 5pm dederecho sa airport for his 9pm flight then sunday evening uuwi na kasi may work the next day. What made it worse is siguro yung pag dodge niya sa issue. On the part na “you dont owe them anything” JM wouldnt be where he is right now without the support so called blockmates before. Bashing and the reddit thread was just pathetic but then again wala sanang ganyan kung inaddress niya lang yung issue and transparent siya.

@ i think you just proved my point. Pag nag support = may utang na loob, which I think is toxic. He is where he is now because of his hard work, and while nandun nga yung viewers to support him that doesnt give them the right to demand parin. He can choose what to share kasi platform niya to. Content creator siya, consumers tayo ng content niya. Very parasocial ang relationship, so all the more na he doesnt owe us anything.

The responsibility to manage your PTO is on you, because mas alam mo kung ano workload mo and the PTO available to you. Why would you assume naman na porke nagagawa ni JM eh available din yung option na yun sayo? Like me na nasa accounting na strict ang deadlines, tina-timing ko lang sa non-busy periods ang mga leaves ko. I don't rely on anyone sa timing ng vacation ko because ako ang nakakaalam ng work situation ko. If you're an adult and an employee, then you should know that as well. All JM does is provide tips kung paano i-maximize and holidays and i-mix sya with PTO which honestly is common sense naman na. Another classic example ng pag-twist nyo sa mga scenario. Ang message lang naman ni JM is to not forget your work responsibilites kahit nagta-travel ka. Kung nami-meet nya yun, that's his personal problem na and sa company nya sya accountable, hindi sa mga viewers. Huwag po feeling entitled na kailangan nya yun i-prove sa inyo dahil hindi naman kayo ang nagbabayad ng salary nya. Learn your boundaries as a viewer.

He can claim na he was 'ulirang empleyado' because his promotion to senior manager is evidence of his work performance and ethics. Hindi sya mapo-promote kung hindi maganda performance nya sa trabaho. As for the "owe us anything" part, this is where boundaries come in. As a viewer, you're not entitled to know everything that's going on with a content creator's personal life. That's a 'you' problem kung masyado ka curious sa personal life ng iba. Walang magiging issue and dodging accusations kung marunong rumespeto sa boundaries ang mga namba-bash kay JM. Huwag pong nagshi-shift ng blame para pagmukhain na valid ang pag-question sa employment status nya. You're just being chismoso/chismosa kung issues beyond sa pino-provide na content ni JM ay inuusisa nyo pa. I think we can all agree na being chismoso/chismosa is a toxic trait.

I feel you sir jim. First job ko sa Makati. Sobrang mangha ako sa mga malalaking building at yung mga employee doon naka corporate attire. Pero nag resigned ako kasi yung sahod ko nauuwi lang sa pamasahe at napapagod ako umuwi. Ngayon, nakahanap ako ng mas malapit sa bahay na work. 30mins lang nasa office na ako. Yung sweldo ko nasasave ko na unlike nung nasa Makati ako nag work.

Naisip ko na baka dun mo na i-reveal yun. Kaso, hindi mo nagawa. Kaya din, lumaki din ang chismis na matagal ka nang resigned pero dinededma mo.
