Continuing to build a dugout in the woods. I always used deadwood, but this time I decided to try to make a shelter out of boards. I've always wanted to work with this kind of material. It turns out very cozy.

LIKE the music! Your project is coming together nicely. I also wonder how your foundation and framing will work in the long run. It all depends on the weight of the roof you install. Earth and moss roofs are heavy. Tarp roofs with just a bit of debris to blend things into nature need not have such strong support. I will keep watching to see how things go!

Probably make it moisture resistant so it doesn’t rot too soon.
