I was in a crash about a month ago. I was coming through a curve on my way home only 4 miles away from home when a deer darted out in front of me mid curve. Soon as I seen it I hit it. Shattered pelvis, multiple fractures in both legs, cracked lower spine, fractured right shoulder, broke 3 metatarsals in my left foot. I had all of my gear on. I slid so far my jacket must have slid up and I got a bunch of road rash on my back. I have to learn to walk again. My 2021 R1 is totaled and I’m gonna be out of work for months. Rough times. Take it easy and be safe

I've had two accidents, one totalled when a driver left turned into me. The front end was trashed and frame damaged from moving it after. I had uninsured motorist coverage, thank God. The other was a repair for $12k when a driver rear ended me at a pedestrian crosswalk. Driver had same insurance, so not a lot of compensation. Still have the bike, but I don't ride often. Wish they totalled it. I wish you all the best on your physical and mental recovery. Take it slow, and be easy on yourself. GODSPEED❤ If they fix your bike, be sure to check it VERY closely afterwards, it was new, so nitpick even the smallest thing. Have a good friend do a shakedown ride.

I was sore for about six weeks from sprained muscle and tendons in neck , back, arms, legs, wrists, ankles. Nothing broken but I just got racked. My bike landed on me so it survived with a few scratches. My rear license plate holder was all bent as well and absorbed most of the force. Get well soon my brother. Two weeks ago, I had an accident on my S1000RR. I also have a cut and an injured leg, but fortunately, nothing is broken, and I only got slightly banged up. I was riding on the highway in the rain at 70 km/h when suddenly a car hit me from behind, traveling at around 150 km/h. The bike is definitely repairable. You should reach out to some KZbinrs that do motorcycle rebuild videos and they can document the process for KZbin and give you a better deal on fixing it than any repair shop could. I crashed a month ago! Still healing from the surgery I received for tearing my tricep tendon, fractured elbow, and golf ball size hole in my forearm. Received all that on my right arm, and road rash on other places throughout my body, Lucky crashed down in the grass median, but hit hard and barrel rolled a decent way away from where I laid the bike down. I learned a very valuable lesson that night, and what lead up to it could've been all prevented. Paid the price for being stupid. Icing reduces discomfort and redness. You want to elevate your foot, and have someone try to massage the fluid out of it (if its not broken which doesnt look like it is since youre walking, and yes it will hurt). Warm compress will help promote blood flow to the area. Cold restricts blood flow making healing slower. I am glad youre at least doing well and are able to walk.

I just read on another post of yours regarding tips and safety and such. For instance I have a quick one for you to add to that list. A guy cannot trust all factory parts automatically on a bike when bought even new because I had a wheel bearing go out after 4,000 miles believe it or not and after looking at the bearing you would not believe the play in that bearing and the only reason I noticed because of experience as you mentioned in your other video. Now I know for a fact that a beginner rider would not have noticed what I noticed and that was and is a catastrophic failure just waiting to happen if that bearing goes out. Thanks for your videos and I hope you heal up and are out there riding again soon. Jeff Storm

I'm sure whoever buys it from the insurance auction will be happy to build it into a track bike, but that's at least 200% totaled and wouldn't be back on the road until this time next year, after you had spent more than double the purchase price in parts and labor. As a track bike, people don't care about scuffs on frames and swingarms. Insurance companies repair bikes to 100%, so the scratched frame and swingarm would be replaced with new parts, not to mention everything else with so much as a scuff. I'm glad you're in pretty good shape considering how bad a crash like this could have been, keep your head up and looking to the future.
