I washed it every other week, but in between, I used Dove Dry Shampoo Spray (works wonders), and i use Olive oil to keep it looking fresh. This works and you can keep it in for almost two months, depending on your braids underneath.

Because my mom does my crochets for free, I typically keep it in for no more than 2 weeks at a time because I am a habitual hair washer and gym- goer. I just did crochet braids for vacation (I did cornrows since I was going to be in water for 4 days straight basically) and it was fine. I put it in a bun before I got in the pool and it was fine. It did get tangled by the 3rd day but I just used some on the hotel conditioner on it (not my hair) to loosen it up and it bounced back. I didn't have scissors since I was traveling but I just pulled out any loose hair. I didn't lose any big chunks really though.

Hey hun, This is my first time watching some of your videos. I found you by looking up how to crochet your hair. I loved this video because I was wondering if I could wash them while installed or would it mess it up and could the hair get wet after I got the crochets for the first time. Now, I don’t know how to braid to the scalp so someone else will have to help me out lol! What about on caucasian hair. Im getting braids end of October for crochet curls but my hair is extremely fine and very slippery silky i mean it has no texture just slides out your fingers. I would think oil would make my braids fall out 😂. Would i just bypass the oil? Im worried about washing too. I workout and REALLY need to wash my scalp after working out its the only place i sweat but i don’t want to wash them out either.
