I use my ESV journaling Bible as my everyday but I pull my Spurgeon’s, ESV Study Bible, and my NLT Illusttated Study Bible most days. Next to my bed I have a stack for every day and then another stack for most days. And a stack by my fav chair but I have lots of time to study since I’m on disability 😬

Oh, I’m both sorry and think that’s awesome. So sorry your on disability, but such fun that you have so many things you love you can dive into. Hopefully the disability leave is temporary and your back on your feet again soon. You don’t have to share the details publicly if you don’t want to. Praying God blesses you both health wise and spiritually. ❤️

@@Searching4Faith thank you so much. I don’t mind sharing. I was hit by a drunk driver while I was eating lunch outside at a cafe table and was pinned against a brick wall by an SUV. I’ve had 5 different back surgeries so it’s permanent disability at this point but God is good and fills my days.

Apocrypha is a protenstant term for what catholics call deuterocanonical books.

Thank you for sharing! I didn’t know that. 😊

I love the fall aesthetics of this video! A question: as a teacher, how do you make time for your Bible study and prayer? When I was teaching, I had to get up sooo early, it was hard doing the morning, but if I did it before bed at night, I fell asleep 😂 Teaching is so exhausting, I really struggled.

It probably helps that I don’t have kids, but Kevin (my husband) has been going to do his workouts at 8:00 pm, so when he goes to work out, I sit down and do my Bible study. I find that at 8 I’m still alert enough, but have also been home long enough to have hopefully turned off the part of my brain that’s preoccupied with work. And, of course, giving all my stresses to him before I start and praying he helps my mind focus on him. In all honesty though, some days are easier than others. Some days I’m happy to just prayer journal. We’re human and God knows that. I know he just wants to spend time with us.

@Searching4Faith I feel like I spend more time with Him and studying His word than I did with no kids and teaching! When they were little was a different story, though. It was like 10 or 15 minutes and 3 verses before they were up and needing me. And I was SO tired when they were little. He definitely has grace for us in every season. I hate when people teach that it has to be a certain type of way at a certain time of day.

I actually use the same main Bible as you do! I love the weird square sized. I also have and use the Cultural Background Study Bible too and love a lot of the notes.

Thanks! I added it to my Christmas list, so maybe I’ll get it as a gift this year. 😊

For your annotation Bible, if the wrinkles on the pages bother you, someone on a video of Faith’s mentioned being able to iron without steam on the pages and then the pages will flatten out. Non Catholic versions of the Bible are Protestant versions of the Bible. Part of the differences include a few differences to Daniel and Esther and some other places (I forget the exact differences). It’s been a while since I’ve read about the differences.

Also, the wrinkles don’t bother me, just I had a kitten get at a Bible so I was investigating how to repair Bible pages.

Thank you! I knew about the Apocrypha, but I didn’t know there were differences in other books. I don’t even own an iron! Probably says a lot about me! 😂
@Searching4FaithАй бұрын
You know me and they don’t bug me either. Maybe one day I’ll try the iron method just to see if it works. 😊
@bookhuggahАй бұрын
@@Searching4Faith if you ever do, start with the lowest level of heat and use a towel to support the side that is lower if ironing both sides. I used an iron about the size of my fists combined to be able to keep it lightweight enough for my hands and also able to use on my kitchen counter with the towels as support. I have a softcover Bible that I was ironing, not sure if it would need as much support or not for a hardcover one.

May I ask you if ur 100% sure that ur going to heaven?
@Searching4Faith12 күн бұрын
I hope this doesn’t come across as sarcasm as I mean it in a thoughtful way. No one is 100% sure, that is why it’s called faith. You choose to believe despite doubt. Everyone feels doubt, it’s normal and I want to make sure you know it’s okay to have them. Ask questions and work through it. I recommend you watch my video on How I returned to the Christian faith after becoming an agnostic and my video on what to do when you feel doubt. Both dive into the subject on a deeper level. kzbin.info/www/bejne/d2qXeomViZykgdUsi=n9pKBsObVxJeb6RL kzbin.info/www/bejne/rHOyga2Xgsx3o6ssi=PbBdlapXm7ev3ptD
