Thanks so much! There are plenty of other knowledge RC-600 users out there creating content, but I'll definitely take that!

Thanks for posting! I am new to RC600 and am struggling a bit to get it up and running. Your vids are great!

Thank you Ross.. You are the man.. I have a question. Do you ever change amp channels via midi? just a thought. Also. I see a lot of videos about how the RC works etc But I dont really see any videos about song strategies.. How do you approach creating a song in the confines of the RC world..

Thank you for your kind words. I used to switch channels via MIDI, and used TouchOSC to help me do that on my Katana. But I don't use a physical amp anymore, and actually use a HX Stomp for guitar FX before the RC. I do use a range of MIDI commands coming from the RC and my iPad to change to correct preset and snapshot in the HX Stomp, and save me having to do too much tap dancing. Hope this helps! Ross

Hi Ross, thanks for posting all your videos - very helpful in getting me setup! I have a question for you having just bought the NUX Bumblebee. How are you attaching the RC600 to the slats as it doesn't look like it will lie flush to me even if I remove the rubber feet?
@RossGallagherMusic11 ай бұрын
Hi Andrew, thanks for the message. I'm.glad you've found the videos useful. In answer to your question, I've actually left the rubber feet on and used 3M Dual Lock instead of velcro. Not only does it provide extra strength to the bond, but its also quite thick, so the feet don't really come into play and get in the way. Hope this helps! Ross
@andrewhorth55911 ай бұрын
Thanks for the reply @@RossGallagherMusic - so have you roughly got it as strips of the 3M going the full length (avoiding feet) of 2 or 3 of the slats then? Sorry for needing so much detail but I want to get this absolutely right as I imagine it is nightmare to get off it's not quite right!
@RossGallagherMusic11 ай бұрын
@andrewhorth559 I know exactly how you feel. That 3M is quite expensive, so you don't want to be wasting any either. I have my RC-600 sitting on the top tier, and it's on 3 slats, but the middle slat isn't really doing anything. The 3M is stuck on the front and back slats and runs most of the way across, on the inside of the RC feet, I believe. I don't have it to hand at the moment, so I can't double-check, I'm afraid.

@@RossGallagherMusic thanks a lot that's more than enough information for me to go on! Just thought, I'd better have a bit more of a play with the RC600 on the top shelf and see if I'm ok with it being there before I stick it in place! I've seen other videos using spacers to allow you to use the bottom shelf but I do like the idea of it being on top if I can get used to my foot "floating" around :)

Hey Ross ! I have few stupid questions 😅 1. Is it ok if I play my “built in rhythm” and bass guitar through my guitar combo ? (Marshal DSL40cr) Isn’t it damage the speaker ? 2. On the back of my marshall combo there are “FX send and return”. Can I use them to connect to the rc600 as you or is it different ? 4. On my Marshall there is only one “emulated out”. Is it good for PA ? Thank you so much in advance for your answer. And thank you for the videos you make 😊

Great questions! 1. I'd say as long as it's at a reasonable volume, you should be okay. Although your amplifier isn't intended for that purpose, so I'd be very careful with the level of the rhythm. 2. Your FX loop should function the same as mine, so I'd definitely use it if I were you, in order to switch channels without affecting the loop. 3. I'm not too sure how good the emulated out would be. Perhaps try the phones out to the PA as well and see which is the best. Hope this helps. Ross

„What a mess…“ 😄 Funny thing is, that you have almost all of the ingredients right there to clean up this mess. You would just have to advance your thinking a little bit and exchange one or two components for more modern stuff. You‘d have a lot less cable mess and less error and failure potential. First get rid of that old fashioned and impractical RC-600 - or use it as a mixing board, MIDI controller and USB interface. It‘s still good for that. But forget about the looper part. It‘s too limiting. Then exchange the Katana with a modeler or apps on your iPad. That will not only reduce the cable mess significantly, it will also reduce the weight you have to lug around and it will make things a lot easier, more flexible and less error prone. If you use an app like Loopy Pro, you can just integrate all the organising, looping and guitar and vocal effects stuff in one spot. All you need to control this hands free is one wireless footswitch with your footpedal connected to it. You wouldn‘t even need the A/B switcher anymore and you could sell the tuner pedal, too. How would I know about this? Well, I transitioned from the old fashioned mess you still have to the light weight - and much cheaper by the way - solution that made making music with a looper so much more simple and enjoyable for me and the audiences. ✌️😎🎸

ROSS HELP! Why in the world are my guitar loops changing effects during playback when I change Katana patches. Totally perpkexed by this. If have the RC600 in the send and return. Must be a routing issue.
@RossGallagherMusic Жыл бұрын
Everything connected properly, and do you have you checked that the Send and Retun turned on in the Boss Tune Studio software? May be a good place to start. Ross
@patrickploenzke489 Жыл бұрын
That was it. It was a send and return error in the chain. I need to now figure out why playback to my speakers has no reverb. Getting there closer to what I want. Thanks for the send return tip.
@RossGallagherMusic Жыл бұрын
@patrickploenzke489 great news! In order to keep reverb on your loops, you'll need to change the send and return setting to 'post reverb'. If you go to the send and return tab in Tone Studio, you'll find it there, and remember to do it for each of your saved tone settings. Cheers, Ross

Appreciate the feedback. The style of all of my videos is the same, but as the channel grows, the production of videos will develop and improve.
