These DVDs are shelf fillers for the ones that have yet to be animated. I'm usually aware of future animation projects shortly after they are announced and I will have already pre ordered them, so please don't bother shilling them in this comment section. Cheers. This is my full collection for the time being consisting of official releases (with the recons filling in the gaps) kzbin.info/www/bejne/paKzm4eYbripr80

Imagine someone buying the Marco Polo serial on DVD, only to find that all they can watch is some surviving telesnaps.

I think if they did release Marco Polo on DVD, either animated or with telesnaps, I think most people who'd buy it probably already know what there going in for.

this is really cool. are you able to do a video showing the menus and how you designed the menus? thanks!!
@DVDandFilmBloke2 жыл бұрын
Cheers, I don't think I will do a video on how the menus were made (mainly because there was so much I had to do) but I used a piece of freeware called DVDStyler which is quite easy to get the hang of.
@wolf-war-master Жыл бұрын
This is quite amazing, How did you flash the video file to the disc to be playable?
@DVDandFilmBloke Жыл бұрын
I used DVD Styler to author the disc into an ISO file and you can burn that ISO directly onto a blank DVD R in Windows.

Hey, just looking for advice as i am hoping to make some of these myself, what paper do you print the sleeves on, how did you make the disc labels? And also, how did you make the main menus?
@DVDandFilmBloke8 ай бұрын
The menus take some time but I used DVDStyler to author them. The paper for the sleeves if just regular printer paper and you can buy DVD label stickers online.

Cheers, also I explain in the video.
@ryandavies35368 ай бұрын
Just wondering how you print the covers off in the right size and good resolution? Cheers
@DVDandFilmBloke8 ай бұрын
I do it the cheap and probably worst way. I use MS Word, hold a piece of A4 paper against the screen and zoom the page on Word in or out in order to match the size of the paper (at least the horizontal size). Once they match, import the sleeve art (which is available online for free), then get a regular DVD sleeve and hold that against the screen and resize the art to match the size of the sleeve, then it should be the right size. If the closest you can match the zoom to the paper is a little too small, resize the art to make it smaller to match and vice versa. Once you have the right size you can save the word document and use that as a template. It's very clunky and there are probably better methods (and size templates online) but it works for me.

And the reconstructions came from Dailymotion from the Loose Cannon page, (although some came from different sources due to some not being on the Loose Cannon page) and I just use a video downloader, hunt around and see what works for your. If you want to do it the most legal way possible rip the orphaned episodes from Lost in Time and the special edition of The Aztecs using MKV and use the Loose Cannon recons to fill in the gaps.

The reconstructions came from the official Loose Cannon Dailymotion (although some came from other uploads) and the surviving episodes (such as episode 2 of Evil of The Daleks) came from the Lost In Time box set (the surviving episodes maybe on Dailymotion but Lost in Time provides better image quality and it's only fair), the only one that came from a different source was Galaxy 4 episode 3 which was sourced from The Aztecs Special Edition.

Also I must stress, some of the missing stories have received official DVD releases with animation (such as Power of The Daleks and Fury From The Deep) so keep your eye out for any future releases and buy them officially. You can also buy the soundtracks but the downside is they only come in really expensive box sets (£70 or something for 5 audio only stories) and a lot of the stories that are featured are redundant. Also if you have any plans on buying or selling these then don't because, just like with the Despecialised editions of Star Wars these are not for profit fan projects (my DVDs are the only copies in the world and I have no plan to make copies and sell them and if any of these get official releases I will buy the official release and make the recons redundant).
