My dad passed away 20 years ago this year... I sure do miss playing golf with him. Fortunately my older Son decided to start learning how to play and now im getting to spend time with him on the course. Have a Blessed day all!!!

my dad was a hard man to play with, a scratch golfer who had no patience for me to learn. So after not playing golf as a young man, I got into at it 43 and now regret that my dad and me didn;t get to play more before he passed. Very nice video and brought back great memories of my dad... Thanks

Bubbie this hits home. Glad you’re able to live in the moment and realize it. My father got me into golf at an earlier age. I lost him about 10 years ago. And I know he would’ve love to see how much golf is growing! There wasn’t simulators and I would love to be able to take him to top golf and share around the golf with him one more time. TIAB

I just got to play my first ever course with my dad this week. I didnt really like golf until I picked it up recently and got myself a set of clubs. Going back to where I grew up, and playing with my dad who wanted me to get into golf growing up was an awesome experience. I wish I got back into it sooner! Thank you Bubbie, Bob Does Sports, and everyone from Good Good for reshowing me how enjoyable the sport is!

My grandma lives 5 minutes away from there. I play it every time I take a trip over there, it's pretty decent for a quick round. Nice little executive, greens are extremely small though lol.

Wow, I had no idea you grew up in the area. I grew up in Sarasota and have played just about every course in Venice including Venice East. Mostly played Bobby Jones in Sarasota (they are redoing that course and it should open this summer). It's funny how so many of the courses from back in the day are gone but they have all been replaced by newer courses. Would love to see a GG at Laurel Oaks or The Concession Golf Club or any of the great courses in the area.

Great video Bubbie! Love seeing you out there with your dad playing. My son and I played our first match together last year (he was 6 then) and we recorded it, just need to make the video. We are looking forward to going back there and playing every year! Which is easy enough since he plays that course a few times a season on the North Texas PGA Jr tour.
