You may choose to divorce your husband, but not supporting your child? What a heartless woman. The only part of this story I can relate to is having moved, on average, every two years while I was in my school years. It IS hard to say good bye to everything you know and to be the new girl at school. I can’t imagine going through all of that while dealing with divorce, and homelessness! Good for you, girl! You will have some sad memories, but at the same time you’ll be very strong from going through what you did. (PS Your dad is a trooper and a lovely man to take care of you the best he could.)

This is such a beautiful story! Thank you 💕 I wanted to ask, Do you think anyone can become homeless? Do you feel as though a bad turn of unfortunate events can make you homeless? Or you think you would never let that happen to you?

Life happens, for me it was divorce and I had 3 kids to pay on. Thanks to Biden and Obama bin Ladin they passed a law during the Great Recession that if you don’t pay child support (or unable to pay in my case) you not only lose your drivers license but they put out a warrant for your arrest and charge you with a felony. Meanwhile women bitch about not getting paid the same as men. Life sucks sometimes. I guess it could be worse, like being born black.

For many people, this is a sad reality. Through no fault of their own, their lives are upended and they suddenly find themselves homeless. I have a friend I met in college who ended up homeless after his father killed his stepmother and went to prison. Thankfully his situation has since stabilized. PLEASE, never make assumptions or stereotype homeless people. They go through so much, and are very much aware of the shame and stigma.
