Yea as a woman, it’s divorce. Op says she’s a fighter and she needs a fighter with her and I felt that. I need someone reliable by my side. Those parents are grateful she’s a fighter bc those kids didn’t stand a chance on their own and he freaking bailed on BABIES. He abandoned his wife in her time of need. That’s a guillotine. Killing it.

4:15 I REMEMBER DOING THAT, TOO!!! The cops, the fingerprints, all of it. We did ours at a neighboring school tho - I do think it was for in case we were kidnapped. Might ask mom later lol Our school had "the trailers" that were meant to be temp, but we kept them for like 20 years 💀

I had a little ID card that had my photo, my name, physical attributes, and my fingerprints on the back. I am 5 in the photo. But no memory of its making. I was a foster-kid at the time. Found it as an adult, and my mum said it was in case something happened to me. Aka, get lost, kidnapped. Then there was something the carers had that could easily ID me.

Lots of schools had modular units for classes when they needed more rooms. Most children in kindergarten were fingerprinted and taught stranger danger. Most children of the 80s and 90s, that's a core memory.

When my Mom was 15 or 16 she got pregnant with my oldest sister. Unfortunately parts of her story our similar to this first story and she was told by her parents she could either have an abortion or she could put the baby up for adoption. When my oldest sister was a few days old her adopted parents came from out of state to pick her up. It was a closed adoption but my Mom spent her life trying to find my sister. Some years later she met and married my Dad and they first had 2 sons but unfortunately one of my older brothers passed away 6 days before his first birthday from an undiagnosed at the time heart condition. My parents had to fight everyone possible just to get an autopsy to see why my brother passed away. They wanted to be lazy and just say that SID’s killed him but my parents weren’t letting it go. Eventually and we reluctantly they did one and found some kind of heart issue. I only know basic details because unfortunately my Mom passed away when I was still a kid and I also always wasn’t sure how to bring up so much devastating situations without causing pain but I wish I would have asked atleast one of them more more details. Eventually after spending lots of time, money and who knows what else my parents had to do but eventually with a lot of my Dads help my Mom finally found our oldest sister. They started their relationship slowly and Mom waited to tell us until she knew that our sister was ready to meet everyone. I got to meet her I think when I was like 12 years old. Unfortunately she’s lived out of state our whole lives but we try and see each other atleast once or twice a year. The weirdest part is out of myself and all of my siblings she’s the one that most reminds all of us of our Mom. I mean she says I reminder most of Mom and I have ALOT of similar personality traits and our littlest sister looks a lot like her. But our oldest sister is literally both. She looks like Mom and she parents like her , they life the same the similarity are fucking bananas. It’s like still having a piece of our Mom here but it’s weird cause she was in her mid twenties when she met Mom. Mom passed away about 5 years after we met our oldest sister in person so it blows my mind. The other weird thing. My sister has another adoptive sister that her adoptive parents also adopted. She’s older than my sister but they literally look related and she looks like my Mom the only thing is they are way taller than Mom was. Shits crazy 🤪

Not fighting to protect his wife and those kids from the dog is such a cowardly move, to be honest. Fight or flight be damned. I'm a lesbian - I once attacked a car in a parking lot because the driver drove over my wife's foot and tried to speed away, but it was blocked by another car and I ended up catching up and slamming my fist against the window, yelling at the woman to get out. She reversed and tried to run me over, so I had to jump out of the way. We called the police, but seeing as it's South Africa, we were told that there were no reaction vehicles available and that we would have to wait at least 2 days for a response. Seriously though, that guy is such a craven - I would fight my fists to the bone to protect the woman I love, even putting myself in danger for the sake of her safety.

For the first story they were likely in British Columbia not LA. The dad lives on the west coast of Canada and being that their son was francophone was likely raised in Quebec (though there are french speakers elsewhere). BC had the Japanese internment camps and has a Japanese cultural museum. Search Nikkei National Museum and Cultural Center. You can take boats rather easily from BC to some of the western states.

1:33:25 My daughter was playing with my baby niece in the garage while my brother was downstairs. He heard a noise…the neighbor’s chihuahua was attacked by a Pitt bull. My brother tried to help and literally was holding the dogs organs while placing him in a box for our neighbor to bring him to the vet…he didn’t make it sadly… The only lucky thing is it was right on the corner of our garage so my daughter did not have to witness it… 😢

Anxiety and panic is a natural human response to stressful and dangerous situations. It is more unusually to nonchalantly go put a fire without panicking. Just sounds like op wants to date his sister

I agree. I was amazed that 2 of them worked to put the fire out. I would have been freaking out personally and be a ball of anxiety unable to move. I don’t think this scenario requires relationship therapy. Her fiance should be supporting her through the trauma she clearly suffered from in a worse way than him and his sister.

They found out they were bio SIBLINGS (half) because their parents both used in-vitro. They didn’t tell anyone, decided to continue the relationship & they both were getting contraceptive surgery and planning to adopt.

My kids did this every year for a while. A photographer took their picture and they were fingerprinted and got a couple of new ID Cards. It’s what Riley said, in case he was lost or kidnapped. His parents would have an updated ID to show. I’m sure they didn’t want to scare you. They just weren’t very good at explaining the process to Riley. And they don’t really want to say to the kids, “in case you get kidnapped.” We told them it was just so they would have ID

2:31:09 …She’s so lucky he left and she’s so young. This dude is a baby narcissist. Making her cook and clean up after every day even though she’s been working and at class for nearly 16 hours of the day. Then, when she took the bunnies cuz she didn’t trust him to care for them means she already knew she can’t rely on him because he doesn’t contribute to the household labor. At the end, when he told her all that heinous crap, it was meant to hurt her and make her beg for forgiveness putting the control back in his hands. When she didn’t fold he realized he lost and cut ties. He doesn’t feel guilty. She is not attractive to him now because he can’t control her. She should take a deep breath, deep clean her house, and have a sleepover with her girls.

Hi John! Please consider getting some bloodwork done. My mom was recently feeling similar and found out her blood volume was so low it was considered fatal. Thankfully she got checked just in time but she needed a blood transfusion and was in the hospital for 4 days. Now she needs lifelong B12 injections. You can never take your health too seriously. And my mom is young so it’s not like it’s an “older person thing”. Just about anything that can happen in your 50s can happen in your 20s. It’s better to be safe than sorry! Take care of yourself and don’t diminish/downplay symptoms ❤

The dog story reminded me of Reese Witherspoon and her speech about women knowing what to do IRL but always asking men “what are we going to do?” in movies PS you only know how you would act in a situation of crisis when it happens. I only realized what happened AFTER putting one of my students in my classroom and waiting for her for the police outside while her ex was roaming the streets trying to force his way into our college with a knife. I actually prevented everyone from entering the prémices (probably including knife guy) until the police arrived. Well guess who broke down like 30 mn after the student had left with the police? Apparently I’m not a runner but I suck at dealing with adrenaline ups and downs

Family isn't family you have to earn the title so just because I found out that they were cousins doesn't necessarily mean that automatically is it they get that family role and it said and done especially because they had a previous relationship before that knowledge came out. It takes repeated long generational insects for those problems to be formed in genetically in children. In this particular situation I don't think it would have been bad because they literally grew up in two different families. However had they knowingly gotten together and being related like that in that sense of incest I don't condone. But I think that the rest of that family is incredibly disgusting in my opinion because to judge him like that knowing what the situation was yes they may consider him like oh he's been family all along however he has not. And because they have inside jokes like that to then treat him that way makes me think that they are the assholes cuz then they call him discussing and they throw him out and all this he's coming out of a place of hurt when he said those comments he shouldn't have said them however it was and I believe subconsciously just being reactive and defensive but the other guy he maliciously purposely made those derogatory comments about the family and her and him in general that it is discussing cuz he consciously chose to say those words and to be a piece of s***so judgemental an incredibly hypocritical and I hate hypocrites. I feel bad for op

2:13:50 I think breaking up with her would be a dick move. What if she has a phobia of fires, like it’s her worst fears. Some people are absolutely terrified of getting in a car accident, so when it happens, their fear is uncontrollable. Any other emergency she could handle easily, just this one is the one that made her panic.

The first story, I'm guessing they are French Canadian from Quebec (it's no longer difficult to find your biological parents here), but yes, we say Francophone from French speakers and Anglophone for English speakers. Now we have the social services that keeps information to parents and the children, up until recently, the parents could decide they did not want to be found, but now they can't. So once the child decides to look for his/her biological parents, they go to the social services and they will look at that child's file and contact the parents for them and let them know that their bio child is looking for them. (I'm in the process of adopting in Quebec, so we learn all this lol). Thing to know about French Quebec, up until a few decades ago this province was VERY Catholic, now most (French) Quebeckers are atheist or catholic, but do not practice it, so having children before being married was really bad. I actually know someone closer to my parents age that her mother was forced to put her up for adoption and years later they found each other on a TV show! Her mother had always tried to find her!

They're still together, out of my uncles siblings they are the only ones that haven't divorced and are happy together. Only downside is they do have 3 kids and they have health issues but are otherwise normal. Since these two didn't know they were related first, honestly if they don't have kids I don't see the issue.

There are many countries where you can marry your first cousin. I think it becomes a genetic problem when it is a recurring pattern over the generations or if you have a rare genetic condition that requires for the two parents to have the chromosome for the child to have the defect.

There are plenty if things that I would run from if I was by myself, basically everything. 😂 But when you're with a child, it's just different. It's almost Luke you don't fully feel your fear until you've dealt with the threat. Then you can get you and whoever else you need to safety and break down. Lol I'm not even a mom, but things have happened with my nephew or goddaughters, and you just do it. It's still terrifying, but it'd be more terrifying to let someone I love get hurt.

I don't get what is the big deal with marrying your cousin? It's not illegal, you could always adopt to be completely safe when it comes to kids and possible birth defects. So really - why? I don't get it. Even the stories with married couples that find out they are siblings and break up because of it... I don't get it! If they grew up as siblings it's weird and probably not a healthy emotional situation. But if they met as adults? Who cares! Get a vasectomy to be absolutely sure not to get a kid together and live a happy life. The whole taboo is to avoid messing up the gen pool, but we don't live in the middle ages and can make sure that kids won't happen. That's still an issue with probable emotional abuse and grooming if siblings grow up together, but again - consenting adults should be allowed to love whoever they want It's actually fascinating how ingrained the taboo seems to be in most humans. Animals don't care at all.

I am terrified of dogs. I've ben bitten 3 times, once on my cheek, and chased by dogs. To the point even small fluffy dogs scare me. I'm not judging anyone from running away from dogs :))

The problem isn't being scared. The problem is leaving a baby and a toddler under your care behind ... The difference between courage and recklessness is called fear. 😉 OP's husband got handed an opportunity to show courage and was revealed a coward. 🤷

@@brag0001 yes, but we're not in a movie. people react to fear differently and you never know what people are going through... I would have ran away too, I have a phobia kind of reaction :)) dogs barking just triggers a flight response, I'd run away form a chihuahua probably too

@@warwick3039 I agree that we aren't in a movie. And I don't blame you for your phobia. But I wouldn't blame your wife for leaving you if that resulted in your kids getting seriously harmed or killed. This already happens sometimes when a kid dies without that being anyone's fault. The trauma is just too much for some. Now imagine the situation with your partner (rightfully) blaming you for the outcome, since you were present and, at least in theory, able to do something about it. That's basically what happened in the story ... 🤷

@@brag0001 I'm curious if you'd see it the same with a different phobia and if it were a woman instead. Because I feel that if a dog attacked a man and the woman ran away no one would bat an eye :)))

Ugh first cousin marriage is acceptable/the norm in much of the world. First cousins can have children without fear. The chance of genetic problems increases a very small amount...like 1% for non-cousins to 2% if first cousins. It ONLY becomes a problem if the family has a history/tradition of first marriage cousins. Meaning if the "kissing cousins" are also themselves the product cousin marriage then genetic concerns go up...

The second story they didn't know they where cousin's when they got together. They fell in love. i don't think there is anything wrong with what he did to me he sounds like he saved her from another guy because that guy sounded like an AH. And you can't expect someone just to fall out of love with someone they have been in love with for so long. So OP no AH, in my opinion. That other guy needs to know his line.

Maybe the husband was looking for help or the dog owner . When your stress you don’t always act and close the dor by inadvertance. Happy no nobody was severely injured. I I really think the way you react it is really selfish being like you don’t ever constantly the way your husband was feeling. You save the children, But the fact that you say that you don’t want children or that he accept to taking care of that she doesn’t change anything of that situation. I think they were a problem before and you put that situation to act like it was the biggest problem. You never prepared of that kind of act in life yes it sucks, but do you think his intention was to be a bad person and make you hurt?
@brag0001
@brag0001 Ай бұрын
It's not about intentions though. She doesn't fault him for being a coward. She's asking whether her having lost all attraction to him in the process makes her the a**hole. And it really doesn't ... He left a toddler and a baby to fend for themselves and even locked them and his wife in trying to save himself. He is the kind of guy who loses his head in a panic and she apparently can no longer see him in any kind of favorable light after this was revealed. She isn't responsible for her (lack of) feelings any more than he is responsible for his panic response.
