Okay ideas would be to choose a lower ranked country each. Max the training facilities in the league's, max out attendance so they spend money on facilities, and try grow the least ranked nations.. It would be awesome to see you two fight it out as India and China, then use maybe the a league or something similar as a control. See which nation performs better internationally.

The trick with the cup in this database is to have strong young players, due to the minimum of five under-21s required as part of the rules. I played as Palace, and smashed the cup in just the 2nd season (featuring a fair number of wonderkids on loan). #moneymoneymoney

Zivkovic, no. BUT, I don't play in England so the English tax would probably have several teams lining up to pay that. VERY good player but if I'm in Italy/Spain/France/Germany, that could be most of my transfer budget and I blow my whole budget for that particular player.
